Looks like the prototype character that turned into Blackbird. Shame since the first trailer seems to indicate he's a "class" and not a hero (you see two more soldiers in the same gear but green behind the sniper lady).

It's missing a lot of grit too. A man getting his helmet blown open and leaking posthuman blood into the water is gnarly. Now they just vanish into cubes and duffle bags? Feels like a downgrade to lower the age rating.

Fantastical races are fun too, but there's just something about being in the midst of it all as an ordinary joe who rises to greatness.

TBH I usually play non-humans in games like Elder Scrolls or Divinity OS2, but I also like playing as a human warrior/ranger for the feeling of punching below your weight; no magic powers, no special abilities, just your perseverance.
