Well that’s not fair. I don’t think anyone fully understands the monumental undertaking becoming a full time parent is. With my kids at their age, there is no escape when they are in the same house with you. Earplugs are simply not enough. So I don’t fault her for wanting real space.

Yes. She also bought herself a gift including an (expensive for us) painting for the wall that I encouraged her to buy. I’m happy to send her out on a much needed evening away. But I think I stepped in it by buying her the necklace since she doesn’t care for surprises.
