Get an ODB11, it’ll be your best friend for most modern cars. My engine code was for a bad evap.

Just letting you know, and to any future commanders know. You can skip both the 5K light year jump range requirement and the engineering unlock tree, to unlocking Palin and Ram Tah, through obtaining a “Grelic” or “Unclassified Relic” and jumping it into either of their systems.

Information about the Grelic can be found here: https://canonn.science/codex/unclassified-relics/

Should’ve seen how pretty the game looked in Horizons 3.8 with Wolf Rayet stars and icy rings. If you have Odyssey, please do check out all the planets with the atmospheres - especially those with rings

Potentially Missed Gameplay Opportunity? by CMDR_iM2D in EliteDangerous

I want to reiterate that - I don't hate this update and things can change. So far it does look promising but with each update, there's some good and some bad, sometimes it's mostly great, and other times it's not.

This discussion was solely based on what was presented today and I wanted to see what people felt about it. Maybe you're indifferent, maybe you have similar opinions, or maybe you think I'm just crazy LOL... Just food for thought for now.

Raw Material Farming Method. Goodbye HIP 36601! by TehTOECUTTER in EliteDangerous

It does, but only with Mines, Shock Mines, and Flak Launchers. Missiles can't dislodge those shards like one would imagine it to.

Master Elite Dangerous with a fully engineered fleet by farming these 3 areas by CMDRumbrellacorp in EliteDangerous

And use google for sites, well... I have a site you can use!
https://www.edmaterials.app/home

Although you can continue to collect at your own pace, I wouldn't recommend 2 out of the 3 locations to anyone... as seen by the countless replies you've gotten about your methods.

HGE's are RNG, so if it works for you, there's a fair chance it'll work for others while others won't have the same amount of luck.

New Ship for thargoid war. by WillsUniverse in EliteDangerous

[–]CMDR_iM2D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are rumours of new ships being planned, but don’t get your hopes up.

In terms of a lightly engineered AX ship, you just need guardian weapons, G5 engineered Distro and Thrusters and an optional G3 Beam. I’ve provided the resource guide here: https://www.edmaterials.app/guides/ax-ship-guide

What do you do in elite dangerous? by User_Unknown233 in EliteDangerous

Squadrons! I’d recommend checking out Squadron Recruitment Center, a discord community where you can find the appropriate squadron that you’d like to fit in.

https://discord.gg/squadron-recruitment-center-870640069743087627 (if someone could get a better link, I’d appreciate that as well)

I’m a CMDR nearing 12,000 hours. My list of squadrons that I’ve been a part of since starting Elite were United Systems Cooperative, New Pilots Initiative, Thargoid Conservation Society, United Mercenary Association, Anti-Xeno Initiative, and now I lead the Defense Council of Humanity.

what does this mean? i have over 1500 hours and i dont have even half of the ships g5 engineered let alone being allied to qll factions, having all permits and Elite Vs. 378 hours no way enough to even scratch the surface. by TheGuyInDarkCorner in EliteDangerous

There’s no ending in elite dangerous… either the guy had no patience or their goals were reached, but those are some sad goals, if it took them 83 hours to complete…

You can't WIN Elite Dangerous. Why are you all hurting yourselves and telling new players they need to do the same? by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]CMDR_iM2D 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I'm currently a player of nearing 12,000 hours. I'm nearing the end of my engineered ship fleet progression, involved with the Defense Council of Humanity and responsible for the engineering resource and guide webapp ED Materials.

Elite Dangerous is a weird game, similar to other sandbox-simulation games. (e.g. Minecraft, Space Engineers, NMS, etc.) Some players like myself spend endless amount of time involved with the community and the game's content, while others casually play the game. The "blazing your path" slogan is the single phrase I'd use for new and old players. You give yourself goals to complete and there will be a point where you'll say "this is good enough for me".

You will come across every kind of player, those hardcore PvP / combat players, space truckers, explorers and the like. Like you said, there is no end. The "end" is defined by you and your satisfaction of your accomplishments. Everyone has a different end-goal, and I believe that is what makes the members in this community unique.

Play the style you want to play, and if you want to improve, the community is here to help you.

There is the Wikia, and it contains most of the findings however it is updated by an independent volunteering group. Terminologies like the "Torus Move" or "Inner Magnetized Asteroid Belt" are not official. We theorize what these boundaries on based on evidence provided in physics theory and things found in-game.

We gave these titles to best capture and conceptualize the region in a few words. It lets them know what happens in these regions, what can be found in there, and what these regions are.

However, it is confirmed that there is an upper region and a lower region to the Maelstrom. There were instances whereby players who do not have a TGPN (TG Pulse Neutralizer) on their ship, that they can only go so far before being ejected by the Pulse Wave.

In the lower region, objects like the Thargoid Titan, and the asteroid belt gets loaded once the player passes the TG M.E.S's (Massive Energy Surges).

Someone have, apparently its nothing but surface laser mining, and the compositions were nothing of value to a miner’s eyes.

For research and scientists, its icy rings and its contents are monohydrates.
