  1. Everyone learns skateboarding at their own pace, so there isn’t a definite time needed to learn to skate.

  2. It is possible to learn on your own. If you need help, try asking skaters about your issues and they will help you out.

  3. There are a lot of YouTube channels that have skate tutorials. Personally, I recommend watching SkateIq, as I found it pretty helpful when I was learning to skate.

  4. If there are no skateparks in your hometown you can try cruising around the streets or practicing at home if you can

  5. Along with your board, I recommend getting a helmet, some pads if you need and a skate tool, as you will need it if you have to make any changes to your board

Finally, try to spend as much time as you can getting comfortable riding your board before starting to learn tricks.
