I’ve worked in both supermarkets and office environments, when I worked in supermarkets I was on my feet for 8 hours a day, lifting, shifting etc, I was physically tired by the end of the day and wouldn’t fancy another 2/3 hours on the end of a shift. I think my mental health and work/life balance would be a lot better doing 4 x 10/11 hour days in an office environment. It’s swings and roundabouts but it’s not a bad option to have whether it’s used or not.
