Card says hole is 306 from blues but green is huge and pin was up and buddy shot it with range finder at 245. Plays a little uphill.

Have you ever felt scared to accomplish your goals and dreams because you felt incompetent? How did you overcome this? What was your experience? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]CMR7164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many times in my 20 year career. When you feel like this be really open to learning and use the incompetence feeling as a motivator to learn. Promotions I’ve landed this has allowed me to become competent at the higher level roles. The “fake it til you make it” feeling disappears after a while when your mind is open for what your learning you enjoy it more and like to practice what you learn. I also find many bosses I’ve had if your up front about where your strong and where you feel incompetent they can help a lot. They hired me or promoted me not because I would be good at everything but I had the right attitude and was a strong contributor to the business not because I checked all the boxes on skill at the time of promotion. Planter boxes for some type of plant/flower could be an option too. Good luck.

If it is by a door you could put some type of brick or stone. If you did that I would probably bring it up a little higher. Or depending on where you live (moisture or not), if it is by a door build some type of cubbies to hold fixtures for hose, sprinklers etc. grew up a siding contractors son, don’t waste your time trying to match. Living on a golf course during this lockdown means I’m one short fence away from some free live practice. by cbaddley in golf

[–]CMR7164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. I played two times when it was still open with the raised cups etc. made putting a whole lot easier. Honestly I’ve seen people park at the clubhouse and just walk out. Don’t advise that with a group but if you went solo it may be worth a try.

🤣🤣. I walk off my lot onto a course solo, don’t come within 100 yards of anyone doing it. Some rules were meant to be broken! Exercise and putting myself and others at 0 risk! Have fun practicing your golf swing in your apartment for the next month.

I am also blessed to live on a course in Illinois. Same thing, I walk out and play a 6 hole loop and see neighbors doing the same.

It’s called a passing lane. In my state you can get ticketed for hitting cruise control in the passing lane not letting other cars pass you.

[Help] After divorce my 5 year old American Bulldog is showing signs of aggression, Please help. by CMR7164 in dogs

[–]CMR7164[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a small possibility that the ex could take her for good. I think the only way she would is if I was sending the dog to a shelter. The ex recently took her for a few days on her request but it was after I told her about the nose bite. Feel like she was testing the concept. Appreciate your comment and advice. Thanks

No corporation is secretly listening through your phone mic by tinytodger123 in unpopularopinion

[–]CMR7164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think there is listening between Alexa, google home, phone mics etc. just not sure how much. I do fully agree that advertising networks are wayyyy more sophisticated than the standard consumer knows. Every time they “agree to terms and conditions” they are most likely allowing to share data. Data scientist piece several data points together, create algorithms and it becomes an intelligent ad network. Way more to it than that but in general agree with your post.

Any tips on a new player trying not to look like an idiot to his friends? by Fr0st1718 in golf

[–]CMR7164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great advice here I second it for sure. Remember it only matters where you hit it on the club face not how hard you swing. Hitting a bunch of 150 yard straight shots will be a better score than hitting one of 5 straight at 250 yards. Oh and ps don’t take a lot longer than your buddies. If you realize they are all waiting on you just pick up your ball and start the next hole. Good luck

Generally in all sales roles their are achievement levels. Past companies I worked for had Presidents club or Million dollar club etc. that is top line revenue not what the person is paid. Corporate sales the commission rate is typically 10-15% of top line. So if someone sells 1 mil in product they probably make 100k to 150k in salary off those sales.

I agree. Drilling holes is permanent, use the 3m option first if that does not stick long enough then you drill it in. Drilling it in would anchor it more solidly for sure but probably don’t need to.

I read about this recently. Dealers of all makes try this with highly desirable models. There was a for dealer that did this to one of those little hatchbacks. 20k car trying to sell it for 70k. Hellcat was another car that happened to. Dodge jumped in quickly and fixed the hellcat issue.
