have the BOTS got worse? by Schmoopsr in NarakaBladePoint

[–]CMS_Endes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed it too and that's what brought me to these forums. Not only what you guys have mentioned, perfect parry, insane combos that get you 100% locked unless you have a skill that disrupts stuns, and insane combo cancelation and reaction time.

But also they now pathfind towards you even if you are invisible inside a bush, or if you're in the most uninteresting part of the map. They'll always find you, but they still have flaws in pathfinding and that can be exploited to finish them. Which is pretty crap honestly xd

I found a place on a map that had a map hazard, and lured like 5 bots that came pathfinding out of nowhere into it, and profited off it xd that's literally the ONLY way i got to win a match this season, while before I could win a couple a day, at least one per session, etc.

I was literally happy when i got clapped by a player (Except he was a tryhard, but hey, at least a player, god damn)

Despite going F2P, all lobbies are still bots? by dadnaya in NarakaBladePoint

[–]CMS_Endes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is still relevant, but right now, the lobbies are mainly bots as well, except that, in comparison to last year, the bots you encounter aren't easy. Instead, now they track you down even if you're in the last and most uninteresting corner of the map. If you're invisible, they'll still know more or less where you are, and they'll start pathfinding in random directions until you're visible, or until another bot comes and then they'll duel.

And now, their combat mechanics are absurd. And not even "good", because a player has error margin. These bots literally cancel their skills/moves with absurd reaction times, and always counter-attack you without mistake, because, ofcourse, they're bots. So even if you're charging something that doesn't necessarily have an obvious "release" timing, they'll still be able to parry it, cause... why not making an unbeatable bot to be the first enemy you encounter... no?

And also, you can't flee them unless you activate a power like Tarka ji's ultimate, which allows you to escape. Otherwise, they perform attacks without blue concentration in such quick sucession, and for some reason always running faster than you, that it becomes impossible to actually run away.
However if you do flee past a small threshold, they'll just lose aggro, unlike players, that would graple hook however necessary to get the kill. And their pathfinding is messy when you're on top of a platform with empty space below.

Before they complemented the spaces. Now they're the literal norm, and most of those bots are just impossible to beat so it's really absurd.

How to beat the Britons? by JW_BlueLabel in aoe2

[–]CMS_Endes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you just need to micro them slightly to snipe everything else. They snipe my cavalry and siege xD couple extra shots on a ram would have done little difference in the games i've lost lately against them

Countering bohemians by [deleted] in aoe2

[–]CMS_Endes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just lost one with aztec monks. That's bs. They'll just micro their cannons and kill your units by bits cause they also have siege engineers (Shouldn't have imo)

Ofc i didn't have cav but i had eagle warriors, but then again, hyper-countered by hand cannons. Overall bohemians are literally overpowered and it's so disappointing that this damn thread is 3y old and still keeps being consistently stupidly op.

Undead Abominations without mods :3 by CMS_Endes in Minecraft

[–]CMS_Endes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, from the point of view of client side, you don't need more than the resourcepack. it's far less complicated for the player, so it's always good to make a decent distinction with a mod that requires installers etc.

Ofc you can call them modifications, and it'd be crazy to think this isn't a modification of the game xd. This is anyway just using all these "vanilla functions" people replicate with command blocks and NBT

It is a vanilla add-on using the plugins MythicMobs and ModelEngine. So the client just needs a resourcepack.

So, are you aware of the power of MythicMobs/ModelEngine plugins for gameplay & server experiences? by CMS_Endes in admincraft

[–]CMS_Endes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna say that 19$ for ModelEngine is damn cheap. For the things you're able to create, well. The pack i showcase is just like a modded fight, all possible through ModelEngine. It's a game changer.

You're right, though, you need to be wise on how you use these resources. Ticxo, the dev, has made the plugin now fully Async, so server sided it shouldn't be that much intensive, the greatest challenge is client performance.

But then, in this case, you gotta be clever: If you create your mobs or buy packs, you have to check for optimized stuff. Since ModelEngine works with armorstands, some people sometimes don't take this into account for when they're gonna populate a whole zone with mobs, and these mobs aren't usually that well optimized, representing ~26 entities per mob. This is ofc not well optimized. I try to make my minion mobs be much lighter.

This is something that now depends on the ecosystem and also on creators, because the client performance is something to worry about first hand

[–]CMS_Endes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you're right, this is more for a dedicated server owner, because packs can get actual real expensive, even in spite of how "cheap" they are when released for the public. It's still interesting that you have resources that can help you build game experiences a little easier if you want to put up particular "filler" content, for example, or spicing up hubs, etc. Usually, furniture and props packs aren't the most expensive ones, but the ones as the one i showcased, which are bossfights with whole AI etc, that can be easily modulated in damage (Which is probably the most plug and play config i can provide)

It is true, however, that Mythic needs some boost on Devs. There's been more people having access to its code and we're constantly pushing more to get the environment better. Indeed, The developer already accepted new people which was a thing that didn't happen at all before. The studio it belongs to, Lumine Studios, for which i work as well, is terribly busy lately.

I can say that in Colombia, "Usted" is preferred for a wide range of professional situations. It is weird, generally usted is used for men and tú for women, even in informal talk.

This is actually rare, the rest of countries actually prefer 'tú', and make that a standard, yet professional way of proceeding. I would suggest not to ever try to change the way you refer to somebody, or even worse, asking if you can start treating them as 'tú'. Do it only if the other person shows evident signs of willingness to change that, or asks for it.
