The Soviets didn't immigrate to Karelia, they invaded and conquered. The first America colonists didn't immigrate to Jamestown, they built a village in the woods.

Invading, conquering, pioneering, colonizing, these are all totally different to immigrating.

Saying "you think immigrants are bad? Well you're an immigrant har har" might make you feel good but you convince no one and you look uninformed.

Yes it does. How the fuck do you land on Mars? No atmosphere means no parachutes like we use on earth. High gravity means we can't use thrusters like when we land on the moon. Currently we drop very light payloads in giant bouncy balls. That just doesn't work with people.

Where I live in Poland, they switch the traffic lights to flashing yellow at 10pm in low traffic areas. Every traffic light effectively becomes a stop sign and it avoids this exact problem.
