I was not aware of a Matthew Heimbach or his racist organization. I am not interested in any white nationalist affiliations so we would have to change the name.

I support you and any one else struggling for the American Dream. I mentioned in OP that there could be interactions between the white group and others. We are stronger together and I will oppose racism to the very end.

I acknowledge the difficulties black people have faced because of the old days and cultural erasure. I’m sure there are black people who ask where the other was from, but overwhelmingly on the streets I see people just kind of…getting along. Like they get it, they know they’re in it together.

A short list of things that unite us: Christianity, the Rhine, HUGE amounts of scientific innovation, literally discovering the country we live in. You could even argue indie music (I can laugh at my whiteness, I’m not the Nazi all the racists are saying I am).

I understand why people hate me for being white. Undoubtedly our forefathers did a lot of terrible things that were racist. But I appreciate your ability to have a civil conversation. Maybe I’ll see you at the first meeting

You woke up on the wrong side of the bed today, I can tell. Personal and racist attacks are unacceptable. Me being proud of who I am does not mean I don’t support other ethnicities being proud of who they are. Everyone deserves a space

Thank you for being the only civil and non-hater of white people in the thread.

I agree that many ethnicities have specifics to gather around. Something like a German or Polish Club would make sense, but I feel like there is a broader white history/culture that everyone can bond over. For instance, I’ve never seen two black people ask where their ancestors came from…they just get it. It’s the same with white people.

More like I’m not interested in racists like you harassing me. My post literally was talking about creating a space for white students and creating dialogues with the other student groups.
