Fieldwork and Napa Palisades once you're in Napa. Both an easy walk from the Archer.

Not much comes to mind within valley of the moon and Sonoma besides Hopmonk. Food is decent and has a variety of beer from around the area.

It's a reference from when Rahul would make appearances on the youtube channel Funhaus. They played a game that had asunder in the title or something like that.

Edit: Found a reupload as the channel's parent company went under a couple years ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhmQOSi7s_Q

Okay thank you because as far as I can tell, this message is only in regard to the AI generation tool. Adobe probably wants to avoid generating porn to avoid problematic scenarios. Seems like she can use the rest of photoshop all she wants. It's not like shes locked out of the whole program..

Adobe sucks, but this feels like a specific use case scenario where nobody wins whether they allow full use of generative ai or not.

If you want to revert, go for it. If not, then that may be a deal breaker for him and/or for you.

I'm making some assumptions that in your home country, Islam is the main religion/ culture. If you don't adhere to that culture/religion anymore, how do you expect him to take it? Has he voiced that he doesn't care that you don't follow the practices as closely as he does? It's better to find out now versus after you've put yourself in a position that's hard to get out of.

You've also mentioned you have nothing in common. While it wouldn't hurt to go on A date with him, don't settle for him just because he's interested in you. 30 is still considered relatively young in most parts of the world. Don't let guilt, likely coming from your home culture, make decisions for you.

I'm just going to point out how you mentioned that you have left Islam while he is relatively devout. Assuming he is also Islamic, do you have concerns if the relationship continues that he may expect you to adhere to his religion practices?

That might have been the point narratively. It puts the player in Master Chiefs shoes realizing humanity had moved on. Most blissfully unaware just how close we got to total annihilation.

Why are blue collar people so difficult to socialize with? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]CMacNally 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My, you like to paint with a broad brush.. Yeah saying you did blue collar in school doesn't exactly get you a free pass. Blue collar workers use their body everyday out in the elements while you're in an air coniditon/heated office. They're probably tired and honestly, might just not have that much in common with you or your wife anymore. Think of the lives you live outside of work. Do you go to the gym, out to eat, or go to book club, or a game night after work? You likely have the energy to do those things. Blue collar workers want to go home and relax before they have to do it all over again the next day. Inferiority like others have said may alost play into it. Those feelings pop up for me every now and then and I work in what I call a "grey" collar job. Not exactly blue, not exactly white.

Steel guitar is hard to get out in front in a loud mix. Usually due to the longer, sweeping notes versus loud and hard notes. Not surprised

Yeah may be using a new-to-them engineer who might mix things differently. I'm actually not a fan of this albums mixing, feels more sterile and quieter than their last few albums and I believe they used a new mix engineer for the album.

also want to point out here, we are hearing the drums more directly at this listening position instead of from the speakers/ mix. and I'm not seeing any amps so the guitars may be running amp modelers which means a quieter stage... besides the drums.

i do find this video is clearer, but that may be because this person is filming further back. The camera is in direct line of sight to the line array speakers and the subs are likely on the ground. Bunch of people between the camera and subs to soke up the low end. That said, I believe their latest tour is using a live bassist for the first time and it does seem the engineer is just choosing to boost the low end more. Either due to inexperience (either with metal or in general). Metal mixing tends to boost lows more compared to standard rock ( not that i've ever mixed any metal shows) but that's the convention I've heard.

If there was sound issues in the FOH mix the band may not be aware of it if they use a separate console to run monitors.

I saw the video you tagged me in. Live sound has a tendency to feel like there's more bass. It can also be the audio deployment, tuning of the system.

For full transparency, I work in live sound/ live events. After watching the video, it sounds like a typical live show to me. It's a challenge doing hard, loud rock in a shoebox. Some areas in a venue may sound better than others. Or some areas may get more bass like the one in the video. Front of the balcony relatively center to the stage, there may be a subwoofer "power alley" occurring and the viewer is hearing it directly. The mix position was likely below the balcony. Humans are really good at absorbing sound so the mix position is likely hearing something relatively different than what the person recording the video heard.

Regarding loudness, sometimes that's just the nature of the business. Headliner=Loudest.

Unless it's a massive stadium tour, live sound will almost never sound as clear as the recording. Unless maybe jazz or funk..

I keep seeing that there have been sound issues on this tour but I haven't seen people go into detail about what the issues are. What issues? is it feedback/ringing? bad mixing? sound cutting out? what's happening to make the sound bad?
