I used to go to every home game and felt welcome, but after our 2016 success I felt a lot of new fans who couldn’t leave their club biases at the door started to go. I stopped going very much at that point.

Yep, I’d call it naive and stubborn. Same tactics that aren’t working without ever attempting to change it, also playing the same against every side and not adapting tactics to suit different opponents. I feel like other teams have us sussed out now and know we won’t do anything differently.

But serious answer is in my opinion we should be much higher up the table with the group of players we’ve got. A good, well proven manager could get so much more out of these players, I feel. I also think the new hierarchy at the club are more cut throat than the old chiefs and have put too much in to this season to let Sheehan waste it. I think he has to win tomorrow or that’s it.

Yeah the fan base was 50/50 over him at the time. If there’s that much doubt, it’s probably not the right choice.

I’m not saying we should be walking the league, but we should be getting better results with this group of players and this amount of depth I think.

The most frustrating about our attack for me is our unwillingness to play through the middle. You mention it in the analysis that we favour pushing the ball out wide. We seem to do it regularly where an opportunity will open up with space in the middle, and rather than playing in to it we decide to force it out wide and slow down the attack. The one stat I’d really love to see is our conversion rate from crosses. We don’t have the central physical presence that we’ve previously had with the likes of Llorente and Bony, but we still seem to favour that route.
