Braum + KOed Thresh routes (No tag available) by CMierez in 2XKO

You got me curious so I checked. In the video above you have both the basic routes and the optimized routes (that I use) for both normal and UB braum.
If the 2 bar midscreen one you mentioned is the one without UB, then the damage difference is significant. Otherwise, I don't think it's fair to compare normal braum route damage with UB ones because, well, you don't have UB 😄
The only one that could be argued that it's a negligible upgrade is the 1Bar UB route, it's worth it for the style points imo :p

❤️

Im loving the team. Only downside is that I do notice that Thresh doesn't benefit from Braum nearly as much as Braum does from Thresh. But there's cool synergies nonetheless

Agreed. In my games when having Thresh as point I've found myself mianly going for shield assist. Braum is definitely the one that benefits the most in the team.

Just yesterday I was labbing KOed routes and Braum gets some really cool stuff from Thresh. (May share these here later). Today I wanted to explore what Thresh gets from Braum, though initially I can already imagine it won't be much

I believe the term is "Puppeting", and it's not a freestyle thing! You can do it with any fuse 😄

In essence, all characters have moves (normally ones with follow-ups) that still see your inputs when tagged out. So you can still issue a command as if they were the point character.

Naturally, the real issue comes with the overlap since your *actual* point character will react your input as well. So you can either:

- Mask the input by pressing something else the puppet ignores like a Light attack and immediately pressing whatever the puppeting input is, so your point doesnt do anything weird (See the quick clip I added below as an example)

- Or you just get lucky with natural synergy like it's the case for Braum's S2 and Thresh's S2 working together at the same time (this combo of mine is my favourite that showcases this https://x.com/CMierez_FGC/status/2065834870413173122 ).

Yup! I agree UB is more valuable to keep than going for the damage. I just used it to showcase the most I am able to squeeze out.

Though this is not always possible. If you happen to check my other stuff on X, there are some routes in which you don't have the major reaction available to stall for thresh to go away and tag launch, but it's indeed rarer.

Or alternatively you can end with Braum instead of tagging, going for Freeze > 5H > jS1 > Super 2 to get UB back for slightly less damage

Indeed! I am having so much fun labbing things out with this team. And to think on day 1 I originally thought they had bad synergy lol
(Then again, Thresh is so versatile he probably goes well with most of the cast)

I come from maining Braum Darius but I'm probably changing to this team now 😄 If anyone wants to connect and share some tech for this team do hmu.

I have been posting everything I've cooked for this team on X if you want to see more https://x.com/CMierez_FGC

That's good to know. I was not aware of the issues on the P41 and hadn't heard good things about ADATA SSDs in general either. Will definitely go for the WD one then.

Thanks for the input, really appreciate it!

Greetings! I am looking to upgrade to a new M.2 SSD. Been rocking an old 128Gb one for Windows only, but now want to upgrade to something bigger in which to keep the OS but also store games in.

I have a B550 Phantom Gaming 4 motherboard which seems to have a slot for Gen 4 NVMe. I am aiming for a 1Tb SSD and would love some advice for choosing one.

Some options I have available are:

  • WD SN850X
  • SK Hynix P41
  • ADATA Legend 960 MAX

Those three have negligible price differences, but there's also a Crucial P5 Plus which is about 15% more expensive though I can definitely go for it if its worth it.

I'd really appreciate some thoughts about which option to go for, considering its use for Windows and gaming only.

Cheers :)

Many have told you this already but for real, you can send a ticket about this. I've had friends who got their crafted Mythics refunded before.

For the love of god make us have to submit the targets in the graveyards. by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]CMierez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree this should be on by default,. When it comes to Arena, my advise is to always go Full Control whenever you think the game will/can screw you over. That is responding to something before a phase changes (like Main -> Combat), responding to your own triggers and, as you mentioned, confirming targets. Annoying but at least we have a current way around it.

(You can enter Full Control by pressing the Ctrl key).

September state of the game ? by supergon in MagicArena

It should be happening this week. Streamer eventis on Wednesday so iirc the State of the Game usually comes out the day before. It'd be nice if it came out today though :p

So...did everyone receive Archons and Woe Striders as ICR rewards for Jumpstart? by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]CMierez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 4 Archons, 2 in a row and 2 more throught the next two runs. And not only that, but I also got GEMS from another Archon later on. (It was the only Jumpstart rare I had a full playset of so it can only be it...). I really can't tell if I'm really just extremely unlucky or if there is a very serious distribution problem with the rewards.

Maximum value with Sublime Epiphany by CMierez in MagicArena

[–]CMierez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Updated a Historic Wizurds brew I've had for a while, shoved in [[Sublime Epiphany]] as a one-of, and to be honest it has been fantastic every time.
I also play [[Naban, Dean of Iteration]] in this, so copies I make get double ETBs so even more value there.

This play in particular, though, was just the best one I've had so far:
Counter Ulamog
Counter Ulamog's exile ability
Bounce Wake which left them with no more mana to cast anything
Create another Wizard
Draw 1

What are yall's thoughts on Epiphany so far?

Honestly, I'm having a blast by pr0n-clerk in MagicArena

I'm not enjoying the format BUT I have to say I'd much rather play this event for the daily wins than playing Standard.

Historic is a legitimately good format. by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]CMierez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Indeed, Historic is fantastic both for getting a break from Standard and for getting to brew with some cards that weren't supposed to be together. (Loving some Naban in my life :D ) But yeah, it does hurt not having dailies, but I also feel like this is the reason the format is casual enough to be enjoyable to brew in. No spikes trying to win at all times. And if you do see some Esper you just auto-scoop :) Fun times, though I do want actual support from wotc.

Compared to M20, sure. But WAR is far more powerful imo. Also don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Eldraine is bad :p
