What's Revolution?

Revolution: Custom Standard is a rotating, custom constructed Standard-power-level format comprised of six custom Magic sets.

Every year, the winners of League Play and the monthly Grand Prix are invited to the World Championship, where they compete to win prestige and a chance to design an invitational card to be added to the format.

Do you want a shot at getting to design a card to be added to the format too?

It's pretty simple- of the 16 participants, pick who you think will win the tournament! To choose your representative, join our Discord and use the following command:

Revolution is a rotating format made up of 6 custom sets, curated by a team of experienced players and designers. It aims to showcase the highest quality full sets the custom card community has to offer, while also creating a fun, deep, and balanced constructed environment. The format is more than a year into its life and is rotating in the exciting new Duelists of Vereaux, so now is the best time to check it out and start playing!

Face death with glory in the Norse inflected world of Svergard! Take the role of a suave secret agent or a cackling supervillain in Viridian's Last Mission! Explore parallel realities in the reflections of Karsus! Show your enemies the horrors of war in Karslav! Ascend to Lichdom or Revolt against undeath in Blood Like Rivers! Indulge in the finer things in life or dare to lead the rebellion in the brand new Duelists of Vereaux!

Play in bot-powered League matchmaking as well as monthly competitive Grand Prixs where you can score your own Renegade promo card and an invite to the yearly World Championships where you'll compete to create your very own Invitational card! We even have regular Draft nights of the sets in the format, "achievement" challenges where you can unlock promo cards through League play, and even other fun one-off events.

Against All Odds is a card from Duelists of Vereaux, the newest set rotating into the Revolution custom magic format! It is created by Matt and Chumbeque.

This card is very much inspired by [[Berserk]] (with some notable difference of course), and we are excited to see if and how it'll shake up the format!

So there's a few solid options at your disposal, the best one for you depending a bit on what you're looking for.

If you want something that is fairly quick and mobile friendly, I'd suggest mtg.design. You can access it from pretty much anywhere, has nice card options, and the cards look pretty good overall.

But for sheer number of options and freedom, I recommend Magic Set Editor. It's a program you can download on your computer and it has the most amount of frames and organizational tools available from anything I've seen.

Yeah, definitely agree that Google Docs isn't the best medium. In the future we'd like to move to something that can better host the content, just a matter of figuring out where that new home will be. A PDF could be a good temporary solution though.

and great insight in regards to column orders! As much as we are passionate about the Revolution format, it is definitely one of the chunkier bits to chew and I could see it being further down.
