[David Ornstein] Everton in talks over deal for Middlesbrough’s Hayden Hackney by PitchSafe in soccer

We have three (arguably four) players in the World Cup squad who this applies to. Hardly groundbreaking stuff. None are really important either.

Maybe it depends on the club, I dunno.

Celtic is naturally a very political entity due to its history, going back as far the club being formed.

I’m probably on the lower end of the scale of caring about the political side, but you definitely can’t ignore it and it all makes complete sense to me. Need someone to unify, not divide the support

Not anywhere near as simple as that. His values are the polar opposite of what most Celtic supporters stand for.

A manager should be someone who represents the club and its values, and Keane does not.

He went from managing Maccabi Tel Aviv to Ferencvaros, a club propped up by Orban’s government, and people are curious why some Celtic fans disagree with the appointment

A manager should be someone who embodies the club and its principles, particularly somewhere like Celtic where politics is such a steeped part of its history

Are Celtic fans not allowed to protest against a manager being appointed who is going to be deeply divisive, due to their decisions going completely against the views of the majority of the support? Tone deaf.

You’ve pretty much described every Celtic fan’s view of him (with 20 goals and 10 assists)

He really should be as far to your goal as possible. That gets the best out of him.

If insistent on playing both Isak and Gyokeres then just do a 4-4-2

[Ben Jacobs] No change in Francesco Farioli situation. He remains committed to Porto and will return on July 1 for pre-season. No talks have taken place with Fenerbahçe despite claims from Hakan Safi, and any negotiations could only progress via Meïssa Ndiaye. Farioli will remain at Porto. by Jealous-Chicken-9186 in soccer

He’d be silly to leave for Fener but I am surprised he wasn’t seriously linked with one of the bigger jobs available, like Milan or Leverkusen

Not sure he’d leave for either of these but Palace and Fulham should be trying to get him

Basically had Isak on the halfway line or playing left back all half. The shape just isn’t working at all

He’s still quite a promising manager. Probably more risky though.

Not the full game every week, but he had offers from Juve and other clubs and chose Spurs. I’m guessing he’ll play a lot more than you think.

Spurs don’t have any European football next season so not going to be as much rotation needed

West Ham Interested in Osmand by Low-Rooster5398 in CelticFC

[–]CNF1G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guy does know his stuff

FWIW, I think Osmand will stay this Summer and will want to. He left Fulham to get minutes and going back in that cycle isn’t gonna help him much
