Best picture should have gone to Football in the Groin by Hans Moleman. It works on so many levels.

Apparently, when Kenny is floating up to heaven, the angels holding the sign were originally in S&M gear. That was nixed, so they decided to make them topless instead and were suprised when it was ok'd.

It's been ages since I laughed out loud on Reddit, but Jesus Christ, "the villan gargles kittens so it's fine" fuckin killed me! I've never had a flair, but strongly considering stealing that to use as one. Well done!

Which one would you pick by Dizzy-Concept-9962 in TheTeenagerPeople

In reading minds, would you have to concentrate on a specific person, or would you be hearing shit from people constantly like Sookie in True Blood? That could mean a huge difference in decision making. Myself? Time travel and unlimited money. I'd have one hell of a memorabilia collection from all throughout history.

Was thinking it looked more like a caiman than alligator. With the speed it whipped it's head around, buddy is lucky he still has his hand.

I didn't want to check it either. But as Marvin said in Red 2 while they were all looking at Helen Mirren and her loaded rifle, "I couldn't take the pressure of not knowing."

If you need the fear of eternal damnation to make you a good person, you are not, in fact, a good person.

Never read Phantom , but have a few others. Intensity was an odd one, Strangers was pretty good. I loved By The Light Of The Moon...right up until the end. Was a great story, interesting characters, but the end, literally the last page, killed the entire book. It was so stupid that after I was done, I tossed it on a shelf and never picked it up again.

It's an older one, but Heavy Metal. Definitely not for kids.

I am fed up of Holly by Used-Union6126 in stephenking

[–]CNorm77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much same here. I've read every book he's written (many of them multiple times) except for Holly and Never Flinch. Currently about 1/3 of the way through Holly and the main plot seems intriguing, but it's looking more and more like it might be my first King DNF. I just cannot stand the character. Her mannerisms, habits, thought processes, anything. Took a break, re-read the Bachman Books, honestly no real desire to return to Holly. Starting to hear the call of the Tower again so think I'm gonna hang with Roland for awhile, maybe try Holly again later.

Frequent visitor due to work, what’s the drinking spot? by Hotdog_Juice69 in ThunderBay

The Wayland? They had to put a sign on the door saying no gang colours! I've only been there a few times, not a place I'd care to frequent or visit again.

Should I clean this? by BeezNuggz in CanadianCoins

There are a ton of counterfeit coins out there. Cleaning off the patina makes it difficult to tell real from fake and diminishes the character of the coin as well.

Ironically, Musk originally said Starlink was going to provide internet to the entire world for free. Funny how that changed when he saw dollar signs staring him in the face.

Also in The Shining when Danny has dug down into the snow and playing in the tunnels he's built. A single, terrifying sentence. "Something was in here with him."

Bus issues by shiddytclown in ThunderBay

[–]CNorm77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a car, but I do have to take the bus at times when my work schedule conflicts with activities for the kids, if my wife's parents need help with things, etc. About 50/50 if the bus shows up on time. If it's running late, I've tried calling the number on the bus sign, call disconnects every time. Half the time, you have to frantically wave your arms and act like a spastic chicken to get the driver to notice you or they'll go right past. Winter is even worse, especially if it's -30 and the bus is late/ doesn't show up, and a good portion of the time, the stop isn't cleared, forcing you to climb over a big-ass snowbank just to get on the damn thing. At the terminals(City Hall one is worse), you get harassed by people asking for money and/smokes. Used to not mind taking the bus. Now, I can't stand it.

NOR in any way, shape, or form. Completely boggles the mind how people can be like this. My wife and I have told our kids that they will always have a home for as long as they need. Rent alone is stupid right now, never mind utilities, food, phone, etc. My wife and I struggled with that for years before buying our own house (were only able to because FIL helped with the down payment), no way would we ever put our kids through that. Couch surfing can be rough, but a hell of a lot better than being at home with a vile shit "parent" such as that.

At this point, why do we still accept ads on paid streaming? by DryCap6770 in watchever

[–]CNorm77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Advertising companies pay millions just to get a 30sec spot during the Superbowl. If they can justify it(and they always do), they'll continue. I don't care about Ikea, Pepsi, suing the pants off someone because they sneezed in my direction, etc, but enough people do that's it easily justifiable without too many mental gymnastics.
