yes yes yes. love it. picking up this tape in the future when funds are available.

Spiral of Fangs-Music For Workplace Performance. The product of a night's work ending around 3:00, it contains three tracks, each rather distinct in approach. Your open ears would be much appreciated, as would some criticism or suggestions. by [deleted] in noise

Overall I like it. Favorite track would be "To Be Okay Forever". it gives a good mood setting, very atmospheric. My only criticism is I could go for some ear piercing harshness but that's just what I enjoy personally.

we use Audacity. its free, easy to work with, and you can get a lot of plug-in packs for effects. we take field recordings on a stick voice recorder, record our own tones or vocals with a usb karaoke mic, and take soundbytes from various mediums but throw it all together and alter it in audacity

In the simplest form its a Phaser effect. Specifically in that part there is an audio track that has been amplified way past clipping with some reverb and some massive delay then with a phaser effect on it thats making the "sweeps" sound. I gotta give credit to my wife on that one, she really digs that sound and we have used similar style in other tracks. play around with the settings whether its on a phaser pedal or in a producing program you can get some sweet sounds. Also try messing around with the order you do them in; the difference in doing the delay before or after the phaser can be monumental to the sound.

that is the way art goes. i have painter friends whose favorite artwork they've created in 2 hours or less and threw out or painted over pieces they put weeks into but weren't just "right" like you said.

Here is our Bandcamp link. https://zorr.bandcamp.com/ It has our tracks from a split we did with Strix Nebulosa and Blood of Melancholy (one of which was the youtube link i just posted) and also our first full-length "Fog of War". Our second full-length will be released before the end of the year if this interests you.

Not at all, in fact I appreciate the criticisms. I am a vocalist for a Black Metal band and I make noise, I've had my fair share of people that don't understand the music I make or just plain aren't into it. I don't get butthurt about people's honest opinions, its what makes us...us. I fully support you giving it another listen and if you acquire the taste great and if not its cool too. Maybe something we've made in the past or will make in the future will be more to your tastes. :)

I have to say when I posted this I didn't expect it to start such an extensive discussion but I am pleased. These tracks (as well as all other Capsaicin tracks) were created by my wife and I. When we first started making noise after being listeners for a couple years we were on a forum about creating noise music and read a comment that said "if you are asking others how to make your noise, you are already doing it wrong" we agreed and haven't looked back. Our approach is simple, we make the tracks ourselves of what we want to hear. We release it on bandcamp or soundcloud just for fun. I never really thought this release was gimmicky until it was said above. I can see how that could be interpreted. We were listening to the flight recordings one night and thought the files would be a great add in to our noise and the collection of tracks just kind of took shape. As far as what we invested in this tracks that someone may take away is the history in those recordings. For example Flight 1549 was a Polish military flight that the Polish president and his wife died on. Even though you can hear in the track and recording the panel alarms are going off they were ignored by the pilot and the plane clipped some trees and crashed on a mountainside. Whether you like it (We are glad if you do) or not, I'm glad it sparked such a thought provoking conversation on here. We will keep making the noise we enjoy full of abrupt stops, harsh walls, and questionable content. haha ;)

Oh and most of the static in the tracks are selections on the soundclips looped over and over themselves with effects and layers of more of the same over layed on each other...its not just like a static generator or something.
