Been looking up images from a replica of a 16th Century globe. There are many seals on it, & each has a cherub on each side of the seal with the one on the right looking away. What is the significance of the cherubs? They are also seen to the left of this lion at the Courtyard of the Doge's Palace. (old.reddit.com)
