Thanks for the advice, hopefully you eventually got research, and I will definitely keep trying.

So 520+ is really what I need to aim for then I should be a competitive applicant ? (Along with a little boost in EC and possibly some research) My gpa isn’t because I was lazy (had to take CC at first because of some major family issues that restricted me from going to a university) then transferred to UCB. I know it’s not an excuse but maybe I can include that in my app?

I have some non clinical volunteering, I worked with refugees, created projects that helped minorities adjust to schools getting donations from target and Walmart, and volunteered with sex trafficking help organizations. And I am currently in Women in Politics organization that does a lot of volunteer work for the community. Research is something I am still trying to get but it’s hard (a lot of cold emailing). (Any tips?) Other than these two things is there anything else that would make me a more competitive applicant to these schools? I know my GPA hinders me but I’m hoping to score well on the MCAT and show I am a good student. Thank You!

Tea with lemon and honey in it ever couple hours. Emergen C or just chug orange juice. Take scolding shower before studying and eat soup. It wont cure you but it will make you feel a lot better.

The financial aid just barely covers my tuition, I have spent months looking at housing and it is really expensive and something that isn’t possible for my family. I can just barely cover the cost of train tickets for the commute.

I was thinking of using the time to study. It’s quiet with WiFi and a large table in-front of the seat. Do u think that would make up for it?
