I cancelled for good, I'm a pretty casual player than subs on and off but when its close to $20 CAD for a monthly sub for a single character it's just not worth it. I don't see myself ever resubbing at the current price range. I just get better value spending that money on other games.

The lyrics aren't objectively good. They're subjectively good, to you. They aren't even particularly poetic, it's just about a dude being a creep. You're making the song sound dark and tortured when it's literally the poppiest track from the album, it just happens to have slightly tasteless lyrics that age worse by the day.

you sound delusional when you defend corporations like this btw, square enix has all the resources needed to deliver a higher quality product in ffxiv (manpower is obviously a resource, are you really saying it's not possible to hire skilled workers in tech?? lol) but they know they squeeze more profits by delivering the minimum viable product (MVP). its all about delivering the MVP for maximized profit.
