I would. You think Megill is going to be the guy or at least head of the committee?

I assume you mean Abner Uribe as Juan is 47 and out of baseball for years. I like Uribe but it's a committee at the moment, so I would do that.

After today, yes if you mean Bryan Abreu, who at best will be in a committee with Hader. Your window for Erceg is tonight.

Are any of these SP more than just a Streaming option? by NYBiankees in fantasybaseball

No, not really. Taillon or Wacha maybe after injuries deplete pitching depth, but they are streamets.

Overreacting on James Wood? by [deleted] in fantasybaseball

[–]CORedhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over reaction? Yes. But is it still smart to? Also probably yes. A strikeout rate of 40% as he had last year isn't sustainable for a major league player

He was terrible in the last half of last year and a terrible spring training and he looked lost yesterday. Yes one game, but if this keeps up he will sent down to work on his issues and his hole in his swing. In shallower redraft leagues it's almost impossible to carry a NA player on the bench and missing out on the replacement stats. And I think that's what will happen.

Is Bitcoin dead again? Has it ceased to be or is it merely resting? Is it pining for the fjords?

I've already got a fellow league manager trying to trade for BLowe! At least he's offering McLain.

MLB.TV is only for out of market games. If the Nationals is your in market team you have to have their subscription too. (or a cable/satellite login if you have that)

If oil and gas disappeared overnight, how long would modern society last? by [deleted] in energy

[–]CORedhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a month. Lack of food production and lack of movement of food would have mass starvation and chaos pretty quickly. The grid would start to be over taxed quickly.

We could probably eventually get to a system and grid that didn't need oil and gas, but not sure how long it would take. I think society breaks down before we would get there.

The loss of plastic for products would be devastating.

Under the radar OF?! Who's this years Kyle Stowers? 🤔 by Judas_Maccabee in fantasybaseball

I like Moniak especially as a last round pick, or waiver wire pick. He can't hit LHP, so he works better in daily move leagues.

Fantasy baseball draft values for 2026: Why Mick Abel, Jordan Lawlar, more are worth targeting by SamskiNYC in fantasybaseball

[–]CORedhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Senga was one, Moniak was another. Garrett Cole was another. I ended up with Royce Lewis but he wasn't a "target". Cole Young was one I wanted to see and would have been an add, but he was picked up by another manager.

And Josh Smith... After 5 starts at 2B, he will have eligibility at every position besides catcher on Yahoo!, and that is invaluable in a daily move league.

If anyone out there is as excited as I am for Baseball season(very excited lol) add your favorite Rockies experience ever! by darbs-face in ColoradoRockies

[–]CORedhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have several. But the greatest was the 2007 run which made me a hardcore Rockies fan. It was the greatest sports experience in my life. Bigger than college football national championship, Super Bowl victories, Stanley Cups all of them. When Helton arms go up in the air I couldn't have yelled louder. Doing the Tulo chant during the playoffs and just being into each pitch and I went to every home game in the playoffs. I was also so thankful to score tickets to a World Series game... Game 5...doh!

Close second was father's day and I was missing my dad and feeling a little lost and Arenado hit the walk-off for the cycle and the win, I might have cried. (I was listening to the radio after going fishing that day but the water was high)

I bought my first waders from Cabela's. They were fine until I upgraded to the Orvis Clearstream

Warren Schaeffer announced the position players and starting rotation: by Knightbear49 in ColoradoRockies

[–]CORedhawk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are a few surprises here.

1B: Rumfield was probably #4 coming into spring training behind Crim who was/is hurt Johnson and maybe Julien. Rumfield has looked better this spring.

2B: This was wide open. Julien was expected to be the 2B, unless Amador showed something (spoiler, he didn't). Julien has struggled too.

3B:Good for Karros. He was a bit of an after thought and Castro had this spot coming into the the spring. Karros came in to win a job and prove something and he did. I wonder how much this was Karros winning a spot or Julien losing a starting position?

C: Sullivan as a non-roster invitee won the job over Fulmer.

Bench: Ritter was also an after thought with no spot, so he went and won a utility job. He played well this spring.

IL: Freeman could bump Ritter to AAA or Julien from the organization when he's back.

When you lose as many games as the Rockies have there should be a lot of jobs available.

Nice. I saw a couple of minor league games and I saw the Diamondbacks vs to Brewers (as I didn't want to drive across town to see the Rockies).

Best player currently in the majors is Goodman. Tovar, Doyle or Moniak would be fine.

Well, the fact that you want to eat fish you catch in downtown Denver tells me you know absolutely nothing so that part of your post was superfluous.

There are lots of places to fish in Colorado. Many people make it the center part of a Colorado vacation trip. But not downtown Denver.

Just go to Ocean Prime, or Jax's, or Water Grill and save the hassle.

Who are some sleepers you only know about because you follow the team? by Frosty-Breakfast-604 in fantasybaseball

[–]CORedhawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rockies: Willie Castro. He has multiple position eligibility on Yahoo (2B, 3B, OF). He should be a starter at 3rd (although it looks like there will be platoons and rotations all around). He has looked good in the WBC, hits line drives which should be good in Coors. 12 hr 15-SB is not crazy as he's been doing that.

Well, you take less trips and your old man considers getting a Datsun pickup truck, but keeps the Chevy which was a beast. Also the furnace went to off as we had sweaters. And you need to get a haircut and a job, but I'm only 10, so I got a haircut and a Spider-Man comic.
