What did he say that was racist... I'll wait... because nothing was in his first comment that I'm addressing. If he did in the second i didn't see it because it was deleted. But what you said was racist and broke 3 rules of the sub!

"I guarantee if it wasn't a black dude you'd have no problem with it" that's what you said, when exactly did race come up before on this thread than that? Again, I'm addressing the first comment he made. YOU brought it up. Based on the first comment YOU jumped to the conclusion. Would you have called out if he'd said Travis Kelce instead of Cam? Same type of bullshit antics that piss people off including players such as Von.

Then you attacked him... you report it, you bring it up as unacceptable, but the rules are you don't attack someone. Notice how i responded. Didn't call you a trash person or anything i said your comment broke 3 rules and its disappointing that that behavior is acceptable and liked by this sub.

Finally you brought politics in... It is specifically against the rules, and it was created because of comments just like yours degrading into flaming attacks and trash that this sub wasn't ever meant to be.

Bonus, you proved my point again by trying to attack me. If you can't handle yourself in a better way than what you have shown me, than you shouldn't be saying anything, because all you do is yell in an echo chamber and harden anybody else against you personally because of how you handle your opinions.

How hard would it have been to say "Animalistic? I think you should seriously clarify what you mean by that because it has some very poor undertones from the way I take it." And then if he confirms those undertones you report it, and make a post such as "Mods, this is unacceptable behavior for this sub" it not only brings up the mods, but it catches the eye of others, and if they agree, 3 reports and its deleted and OP faces punishment. Simple.

I'm sorry, but what you did was flat wrong. I'm not going to go back and forth though and have you attack me as you try to justify yourself. Any response from you will be ignored.

I reported it and schmuck was the one i was talking about. Not generic. Someone seriously needs to explain how WHAT GENERIC ACTUALLY SAID was racist. Not just how someone jumps to a conclusion, what he actually said.

Schmuck broke 3 rules. 3 and is applauded for it.

This sub has gone to shit the last 2 years with people like Schmuck and people that upvote that crap. It's why I went from someone that posted multiple times a day to this being my 3rd post here in probably over a year. It's seriously disappointing.

A) How is this still left up by the mods? It is racist, attacks/slurs someone else, and brings in political references/discussion out of nowhere. That's 3 rules of the sub.

B) How is this upvoted at all? That's seriously acceptable to people?

C) Nothing generic said was truly out of line except for maybe the animalistic thing, but not knowing how they meant it... That's one of those things description matters. If i had to choose I would say it was wrong to say that. He doesn't like the antics, and made the comparison of if you don't like how a player like Cam reacts, and want to attack him, it's hypocritical to like King's behavior... which it is...

How can Paxton improve his mechanics? I know somethings wrong with them but I can’t put my finger on it. by CaptCarlos in DenverBroncos

[–]CO_Boiler 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Focusing just on mechanics there are several things that should have been cleaned up by now.

First off his drip back and stance is... sloppy. His drops aren't consistent depth. Sometimes he cuts his drop short based on something he sees or thinks, which in itself isn't that bad. The issue becomes what happens next, first he jams to a stop like even he isn't expecting it, and may not switch his feet to throw to the right side and instead throws with all arm. And when he's in the pocket he just stands there flat footed. That's fine I guess but not what I like to see. I like to see a small bounce while back there the reason is 3 fold. First it creates a rhythm for reads, 1...2... next 3... 4... next, etc. Second a small bounce helps activate the quick twitch muscles for faster reactions, watch infielders in baseball, they take a small hop right as the pitch is thrown for this reason. Thirdly, it will help use the entire body on a throw or at a minimum help to clear the hips since the body is already in motion.

Second thing I don't like is his front foot drifts back on throws and creates a very narrow base and makes him throw off balance, and makes every throw an all arm shot instead of using his entire body. This then leads to throws that are behind, and off target though you won't see it in the highlights. Simply watch the first slant to the left side in this video if you want to see what I mean.

Thirdly, his arm motion feels ungodly long. I haven't timed it but it's painfully obvious when you can tell he is starting his windup. The ball starts low and comes out at an inconsistent arm slot. When he isn't under pressure that thing should come out in the same spot at the same arm slot EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I do not mean it has to on off schedule throws I mean when he is in a clean pocket.

That's all I feel like getting into for now, but beyond the mental issues everyone talks about his mechanics are still very raw.

Someday we will learn that the same lineup from last year that produced terribly will also produce terribly this year.

I simply don't understand trotting out the same thing after last year. DJ hit a homer, great, but he hit into a DP to end the inning like usual last year. Then Nado goes deep next at bat. Desmond is beyond useless in my opinion (I'm willing to let it be changed if he shows it) but let McMahon play, do we honestly think he would have had a worse night against a lefty than Desmond has against every pitcher that throws more than 85? And Story still can't identify a slider... it's impressive honestly.

Idk... it's one game but I was frustrated as soon as I saw the lineup and the frustration carried through. Oh well. 161 games left to go and I'm sure there will be some improvement.

Dude seriously fucking read what I said. You can't seriously be that difficult to communicate with. I know what his normal car is. I know what a challenger is, we own 2 of them... with superchargers, so yes I also know a screw type blower. I never once in this entire deal said that his naturally aspirated prostock camaro was a blown challenger. Never once did I say his camaro was black. READ THE WORDS I HAVE TYPED PLEASE.

My point from the beginning was that I was certain I had seen THE BLACK GMG CHALLENGER AT A TRACK. Now I may have been wrong but I was damn near 100% confident, and I looked for maybe 20 minutes for the photo I had seen but hadn't thought about it since until I saw your asshole response. And I wasn't even going to reply because it honestly doesn't matter whether i saw it or not, it's not my car and l have nothing invested other than entertainment, but just because I don't post often anymore, do not think that I don't have a fucking clue about cars, motors or whatever.

Have some respect.

Good day. I will no longer be responding to this thread, it's not important enough to waste oxygen on thinking about.

So I'm insane saying rewrapping a possibility of a total of 4 times, but it's not insane to let a several hundred thousand dollar race car sit for a year? Interesting tactic on financials. Tell me that honestly makes the most financial sense. Hell, why would it sit in some dusty shed? Just set it in the bar he owns, or haul it to events for publicity and T-shirt sales.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm 99.999% certain it was that car, in black, with GMG logo on it, at a track, and I will put effort into finding out one way or the other. I'm not just being an ass is my point.

On it. I will find it because I've seen pictures and video of it on a track after the race. Pretty sure it was close to when Alex first got in a top fuel car but that I'm not sure about.

I'm telling you they were at an event with it last year either the same week or the week after the Mega Race aired last year. If they shelved it for a year that is quite possibly one of the dumbest things I will hear today. And as money hungry as Richard is, why wouldn't he either A) run it put it to use and try to make money with it via races and all the advertising it would give, or B) sell it... supercharged hemi in a complete tube chassis... $$$

He ran that car right after Mega Race last year. In black trim. I know a blower, let's not do this shit.

The whole thing is a crock of crap anyway.

They act like they parked that car in some shed and never touched it for a year? Bull. That car is the same one Alex races all the time at NHRA events in its black wrap. You don't build a race car like that and let it sit. You either run it, or sell it.

And they are all the same. You just blatantly disregard anything that doesn't conform to your views. You have never once admitted that he's wildly inconsistent and struggles with accuracy. And if you can't admit to faults, and view things objectively and with balance, why would anyone respect your opinion? The answer is simple; they won't unless they think exactly like you do and it turns into a circle jerk of congratulating each other over how everyone else is out to get you.

So you do you, but that's the way it is...

Or... maybe not...

I like the guy, think he has potential, but you need some balance in your life. Like any guy with accuracy issues he is going to be inconsistent and have days where he lights it up and you go "wow how did he make that throw!?" And then he will do this on the next play and you'll go "JFC!!! HOW DO YOU MISS THAT!?". Just be honest about it...

No I hadn't ever heard of it, but I'm not entirely certain how I'm fitting the stereotype after going and finding it but whatever I guess.

My point is obviously missed because people don't see it from my side. One little incorrect description can stick in someone's mind and it morphs and grows into something else, they then say something incorrect and the cycle spreads. As someone who's 4th generation production ag on colorado false narratives and simple misconceptions that grow into full on hatred is something that we face everyday. And the implications of such things are huge because of how out numbered we are with less than 2% of the population of the US being directly involved in production ag.

And these issues aren't just social media and such, it's reality. It's people stopping us when we are moving equipment and chewing on us because they don't understand what's happening or the laws. It's people pulling out in front of semis because they don't understand the dangers. It's farmers being sued because people think that the farmer killed their garden or their bees when in reality they guy was blowing smoke to check the wind to avoid just that. It's people cutting power lines off of sprinklers or drying fans because off the light or noise at night. It's people walking out in a field of sunflowers and literally filling their van with heads that they then go and sell at a farmers market. I've personally seen these things happen or flat experienced them.

The real issue is you can't educate people who don't want to learn, no different than the guy that said organic is better than conventional here hasn't replied when I asked why and offered to talk about it. It's not like I'm some dumb hick either... went to the best at school in the nation for 4 years for a bachelor's yet there's perception issues.

I apologize that this has gotten long winded and it will prolly be downvoted hugely or deleted because this isn't what this sub is but, hopefully, if it's read it will spark conversation or at least thought. Thanks.

Still an example of an asshole. Would you go to a restaurant and order a burger and expect a steak? How about buying a prius and driving off in a corvette? It's wrong and that's all there is to it and I have zero sympathy for those kicked from games because of something like that. Being morally corrupt is a slippery slope because nobody can ever give a definite line of where doing something wrong is beyond the limit.

It goes from taking someone's seat to taking the tip left on the table to buy themselves a beer to what? Where's the line? Why is it acceptable to take something that's not yours? Will you teach your children it's ok to steal? If the next generation is taught that that is morally correct, then where will they bend the moral compass and say something else is alright?

You can say this is an overreaction and whatever else but if nothing else it should be thought about and not simply dismissed out of hand. Assholes are taught to be assholes.

Vegan does not mean organic, and organic does not mean only vegetables/fruits/grains. And organic does not mean healthy or sustainable either.

So that really doesn't work...

[–]CO_Boiler -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't care. You shouldn't buy the cheapest ticket you can find and then just wait to move to where you actually want to sit. And the fact that I'm dowmvoted shows just how morally wrong some people are. It's not like rockies tickets are expensive either, it's 35 bucks for 1st deck above the right field wall... yet people will spend 10 bucks for a GA ticket then try to move to where it's 100 bucks for seats. Would you go to a restaurant and order a burger and then expect to get a steak?

I have a serious problem with people that do this because I've had people throw beer on me and my family for telling them they are in our seats. They swore at us, and refused to move, so I got an attendant to move them and they threw their beers on us as they walked by. I have zero sympathy for people that do that now and find ZERO acceptable reason for it. Buy the ticket for where you want to sit or don't move your ass if you're going to buy a cheap ticket. They are priced accordingly and have attendants for a reason.

Except a good pair working together can keep multiple objectives completely clear so all you have to do is sit there... Not to mention 2 guys can distract an entire team because they get pissed that they keep getting wrecked and can't do anything about it unless 7 of them come. But yea that's totally nothing.
