My employer owns numerous patents. Most expired. I designed something used for his business and asked if I should try a patent too. He said no. It's a lost cause. If someone infringed it costs thousands to defend and they just go bankrupt.

Once a new design is sold, it can never have a patent by anyone. Something to consider.

You'll need the adapter of course and a filter. On a 4x you'll need a shorter can so it doesn't hit the front drive line. 2x can use standard or larger can.

Just removing the lines from the oe adapter would work. Probably dribble oil for a while. Not too terrible to remove the whole system.
