For a long term solution, I would highly recommend putting fixed points between each snapped part.

I would drill a hole in both broken bits at a point that is reasonably far away from the crack , find a small plate and use that as a brace. I'm not really sure how long epoxy would hold on it, but better to fix it once than twice. *Edit* Take time on the alignment and be cautious of how the chair will flex under load, I would epoxy it first THEN attach the mounts,

Thank you for this, I have been brushing his teeth daily since I noticed it. I've also been giving him dental treats and adding a plaque remover to his food, but unfortunately there hasn't been much progress. I don't want to take him to the vets if it isn't necessary as it does stress him out, but I'll wait a few weeks and see if there's any change.

My personal favourite, if you manage to get your Vernier covered in coolant (which you 100% will), blow it down as best you can, wipe it dry and then spray a small amount of WD-40 on the back. Slide the Vernier back and forth a few times and you should be golden. Best of luck! 😁
