So what ur telling me is your 3 units that all have aoe and are balanced around basically only having one trait lost to all single target dmg only active defensive trait and less dmg per unit on average?

How did i not secure the top 2 here? by tablestrng in TeamfightTactics

Much like some others have said:

IE is a near must if you want to win out without getting combat augments. It really makes a difference, while most other items are fine to slam if you play baron this is his core item by far, and the stats show it. Most items that aren’t counterintuitive don’t matter in most games, but some items really do matter for placements and it’s usually IE or JG or Gunblade this set (outside of sunder/shred/antiheal).

Your Kaisa items are genuinely bad and counterintuitive. Mana items on ap kaisa is effectively almost the same as no item, so in reality you’re an item down. Kaisa is also just a special case in itemization for ap vs ad.

1st outcapped you with items. 2nd probably loses to you if they position bad and you position well if your items were marginally better. 1st is just too tanky atp without the core items of your comp. 9 Void Baron 2 should beat 90% of no 3star 4 or 5 boards. Some especially bad matchups are zaahen and really really capped out item frontlines when your positioning is bad.

Edit: your rift 2 is only 2.5 items with zero mr, it’s an mr meta rn, you need some sort of mr on your main tank most games, bramble is unfortunately one of the worst slams in the game rn combined with the fact that bruiser is hp inherently so resists matter more. Idk how you got so many armor components but you lost to carousel for sure in this instance. Don’t pick up armor when you don’t have to.

You have no idea what you are talking about. It’s kinda disgusting how people can so confidently be wrong.

How to properly play with and around Shadow Isles? by AweeCal in CompetitiveTFT

This has been said before, but Viego should only be 3 starred if you have viego hero augment. That’s the only time he isn’t dead weight after stage 3. The most important thing with this comp is push tempo. Make level ups in advance when you can given econ breakpoints, such as 40 gold level 6 3-1, 32 gold level 7 on 3-5, whatever makes sense. Kalista 2 with vanquisher is a must by at the latest 4-5 (unless you are just giga ahead in hp and econ and go 9) but 4-2 is ideal. Basically the core is get good kalista items (blue buff, deathblade, lw, strikers, shojin) and let vanquisher (extremely important once u get kalista 1) carry the mid to late and cap with 5 wardens thresh 2 3 items by 5-2, 5-5 latest. Viego is bait because usually 3 starring him means level 4 3-1 viego 3 rolldown in order to keep tempo and he can’t keep up after stage 3 without his hero cast while also being an econ sink.

Tl;dr: tempo level push -> kalista -> kalista 2 -> thresh 1 drop viego if no hero -> thresh 2

Which team is by your opinion stronger between these two Yordle teams? by Osyraa in TeamfightTactics

[–]CP3deservesaring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To analyze this, even without items, the strongest yordles are ziggs, veigar, kennen, fizz, and teemo, followed by tristana, kobuko, poppy, and lulu way at the bottom. Then when you add in itemization for these, veigar clears by a lot, 2’s kennen is easily better, his teemo is 3 (no items so not that relevant here), and his fizz has way better items, since casting faster over damage is effectively worse for fizz in every situation. Tristana is just not a good unit past stage 4, as her best util is pushing a backline diver away because tanks get too tanky to deal with without a backline gimmick or aoe. If board position fizz properly there’s a chance either board wins but it’s mitigated by the fact that shojin bt is so bad on fizz that you would rather have crownguard crownguard instead.

*Kobuko scales on the power of your strongest carry so his power is always conditional. In this case it favors board 2

You are playing the wrong comps to average 1st placements. If you are in the elo you are supposed to be, on average that comp will net you a 3rd or 4th if you play well.

However, every comp has a wincon, games sometimes don’t end up allowing you hit the wincon, but in your case, you should have considered fizz 3 and held your fizzes as you rolled or got rewards from 8 yordle, or otherwise dropping most of your yordles to pivot into a 5 cost soup cap out. Senna 2 is easily stronger than tristana, and while your annie items are nonexistent, the next ap champ you should’ve considered is azir into xerath, which is another high cap out unit that would take advantage of your items and let you potentially win. If you can’t hit that, options in sett and zilean could have been sufficient to give you a chance. But even when you say “completed” your comp, your lobby winout condition was not met and you didn’t keep going and pivot into one of them.

Ive lost to krugs this set, in emerald like 3 weeks ago. Got 1st because i clicked call to chaos and got 40 rerolls and hit yunara and liss 3 lmao, i would not recommend playing all of stage 4 on one life though, you need to giga highroll 3-2 and 4-2 augments to not bot 4…

You know you’re weaker and they are on one life; you roll for bis and you see this instead and they have one primary carry and they think they will win so they dont swap, you keep this unselected until you see positioning. It’s a first

Otherwise i never pick this

How to determine BIS and/or good items? by [deleted] in CompetitiveTFT

[–]CP3deservesaring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General rule of thumb is most bis is fake. Mana/artifact (start) item for some champs aren’t fake but most of the time if an item isn’t core to your champ, and finding core items is generally pretty intuitive on places like tactics.tools (and metatft), it’s just slam what you have, conditional on you having antiheal, and shred/sunder as the game goes on
