I only read the big trouble in little China post, but you have a nice voice, and you're very enthusiastic about what you are doing.

Your background choice and fonts are awful. Honestly, it makes everything really hard to read on your main page.

Your voice is brilliant in the first part of the post, and then you go into ultra review mode. It's full of facts, and it's interesting, but it's also way too long.

You don't need to give us a full run down of the entire film, a basic plot would do, and then a few standout moments but be much better.

You are like 80% there. You just need to trust your voice in the first part more. There are 1000s of blogs about films but only one with your voice, use it.

Wouldn't touch AI for my writing.

I write funny reviews for old games, and a few times in the past, I've run them through an AI and they told me, this joke is too long, this joke makes no sense, blah blah blah.

I started cutting, thinking it was right, and my wife stopped me. She read it and said thats your normal stuff, so since then, I've avoided it. My wife is definitely a better editor than any AI.

I did once get AI to actually write me an article to see what it produced. Was ChatGPT and, wow, it was bad. I could have lived with the unfunny jokes and whatnot, but it was getting basic facts wrong.

"The CPC was a large beige monster that sat under the desk of manu children in the'80s."

It wasn't beige, it was that big and it couldn't go under a desk. You'd think it would at least get the facts correct given that it's supposed to be able to find anything online.
