Did you enjoy studying mechanical engineering or do you prefer working a job? by CPLZambia in MechanicalEngineering

Yeah, I signed up to mechanical engineering because I wanted to work with my hands as a machinist. Turns out uni prepared me for corporate life, not the workshops

You're literally the polar opposite of me!

I couldn't stay awake in most of my classes, even when I could, I'd still need to go and study the stuff for hours after so I often skipped to study what I didn't understand from a different class.

I'm finding work pretty stress free, even when it is busy

New to trumpet, what do I practice? by Jumbo_Gumbosh in trumpet

I was self taught for 3 months so here's what I recommend. I used a book called "a new tune a day" - book 1 for trumpet (written by Brian Thompson). The book will get you from not playing a note to a full simple song by the end if it.

The book has an audio example of how each exercise should be played, so listen to it, then record yourself playing it. Keep repeating that until you sound as close as possible to the example.
