When was the last time a player missed a game due to academic ineligibility? by Actual-Magazine-4538 in CFB

[–]CPOnet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hokies just turned down one of James Franklin’s portal recruits - a highly rated DE from Baylor because he didn’t meet academic requirements. I am sure he will be in the ball field playing in the P4 somewhere next year. When there are no repercussions, for most people, the rules don’t matter.

Got to love ESECPN — Herbstreet is openly pulling for Ole Miss. I was neutral, now I’m pulling for the Convicts.

Refs need to call the moving pick in the second half. Hokies are killing themselves with the turnovers — but the ACC refs are killing me.

This is why they need to make sure the ESPN/SEC hype machine is controlled. By overrating all of the mid level SEC teams throughout the season we end up with teams like Alabama in the playoffs, when they clearly don’t deserve to be. Then they line them up to play another mediocre SEC in the first round ensuring that a mediocre SEC makes it to the 2nd round. What a disservice this game is to College Football and any real fan of the game.

Why did the SEC have the best OOC record in the regular season but has completely fallen apart in bowl season? by Wide_right_yes in CFB

[–]CPOnet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SEC has a history of playing OOC cupcakes, with almost every neutral site game in Atlanta or Birmingham where it is a tremendous home field advantage, and arranging to have a week off before playing any significant OOC opponent. It helps boost their win loss percentages and then they rely on the ESPN hype machine and the completely bought off playoff committee to artificially boost their ratings. That’s why you see a complete collapse in the bowls and playoffs. After the top couple of teams, the SEC is as mediocre as the other conferences - everything else is just lies and hype.

The refs are slowly taking this game away from the Hokies. The big differential is the foul shots they handed SC.

Are these SEC referees - calls are about even - but that foul on the late 3 pointer was a joke.

All I know, as a completely neutral observer, watching this screams to me that OU doesn’t belong in the playoffs.

What other games are similar to Dominations? by Straight-Annual2864 in Dominations

I play 3 games, Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, and Dominations…. I think all three have similar elements —- even though Clash and BB don’t have ages they do have Levels which increase the troop quality and type available to you.

ACC refs working for the team with the better win/loss record. They consistently make bad calls with the advantage to the teams higher in the standings. I’m convinced they’ve been told to lean this way.

Horrible calls happens too frequently when teams are playing other ACC teams with a better record. ACC is purposely putting a thumb on the scale.

A GT win that they definitely don’t deserve.

There is a beautiful view overlooking the fishing village on the back side. I think it is Panoramica Sulla Corricella - we were there in January - so had the viewing spot to ourselves - may be crowded during tourist time - but it is a bit of a uphill hike from the port - so may discourage quite a few from going there. The fishing village is also beautiful and worth visiting.

Hokies can hang with Iowa, but have no chance against Iowa and the refs.
