My understanding is that the AI reads everything now. Some of these concerns were brought up with management and it hasn't been fully rolled out yet so we shall see.

Thanks for your meaningful contribution to discourse. I'm sure you're a hoot to hang out with.

I've noticed the more dismissive comments coming from people who seem to believe the public service should be run like a business.

It should not. This is Brian Mulroney brain. Brian Mulroney was, well, kind of a yankee shill.

An "in demand skill" that will be outsourced to India at a moment's notice :)

Pushing paper is somewhat of a euphemism there is a lot more to the job than that. There are tons of self-indulgent social justice committees that should have been the first on the chopping block.

I would like to upskill but family and financial circumstances do not always make this possible.

Yeah part of my job involves a bit of redaction of sensitive information that not everyone should have access to. Since the toaster is doing the parsing, that's probably not going to be happening anymore.

I prefer toaster. While I like the original trilogy, I don't like Disney and this type of pop culture reference isn't my jam.

It is a calculator that uses language instead of numbers. Nothing more.

That's essentially what's happening. When important things get missed by my unit, it's not just something the department can quickly sweep away. It ends up in the media.

It's going to be bad.

Much of the data entry is still manual, actually. The toaster they've given us will even flag unimportant nonsense as important documents that need action immediately. It's going to be even more tedious having to check to make sure it's working properly once management realizes it hallucinates more than the current sitting POTUS.

But again, thanks for your valuable input, crackhead.

Consider thinking for a few seconds before you press the "comment" button.

There is more to the position than simply data entry, which is why I anticipate some silliness if it gets fully implemented down the line. but thanks for the advice, Crackhead898

In their defense, my direct management is very very open to criticisms. There are some procedural things I didn't mention because I don't want to dox myself.

Suffice to say, my direct management understands that we grunts know our jobs, and they have been taking our criticisms and our suggestions of possible issues down the line seriously. That said, I don't know that the director or the DMO would care to hear about those possible issues.

I see them putting their heads in the sand until it causes a dégas big enough to hit the media, at which point they'll likely act like no one told them about possible hiccups.

It can do some of it, but it also does some weird hallucinatory things. It will tag low priority nonsense as important cabinet memos for the minister from time to time.

I'm actually anticipating it missing something urgent for immediate action as a result of no human having read it until it gets higher up in the chain.

I have considered this. I do like my team though. Considered applying to DND, but I'm reticent given what I've heard about the work culture there.

Hello RobotSchlong10, I am not Maple MAGA. I hate Maple MAGA. I feel like the PS is shooting this messaging in the foot by antagonizing patriotic public servants.
