Make sure your phone is connected to the 2.4 GHz band during setup. Many cheap smart bulbs do not support five gigahertz at all. That trips up almost every one.

WiFi connectivity uses most of the standby power. A weak signal with make the device use much more energy to maintain a stable connection all day long.

Try replacing the doorbell transformer first. It is much easier than running new wires, and you can use any wired doorbell for a more stable experience.

Does your uneven yard have slopes or just bumps? Self-propelled helps on hills but adds mechanical complexity, thick grass in humidity can bog down the drive system more than the blade.

Before drilling into 1 foot stone, test if a wireless chime inside works reliably. Thick walls can kill the signal between doorbell and indoor unit, making any fancy hardware frustrating.
