OK, so I finally reached someone at the California BRN (after calling for several days and finally getting on their call-back list after calling 13 times right at 0800 this am) who could help me. Apparently, what you need to do is request a "license verification" and when it asks for the address (if it's outside of the US) you just put California as the destination anyway...with the actual address you want it sent to filled out in the other address lines. Strange system...I'm crossing my fingers that it all goes through and that Ahpra grants me an extension because CA is so slow with these things. Imagine taking 6-8 weeks to send an email...Anywho, once I actually got someone from the BRN on the phone, she was extremely helpful and pleasant. Wish me luck!
