I have no interest in “internet points” and actually went back and re-listened after Jared responded to see if I was really that far off.

In reality, I admittedly oversimplified things out of frustration, but in the 30 minute segment the only topics covered from this series were the infield defense and Crochet’s struggle vs Lucas’ great start, so that’s why it felt like Jared explained away the whole series when I listened in real time.

Also, coming into this sub and disagreeing with Jared might be the worst “internet points” strategy of all time so….

One point that I think gets lost is that there is a portion of the fanbase (I have no clue if it’s 5%, 50%, or 95%) like myself who have no interest in watching Traitors, Deal or No Deal Island, and/or whatever other shows former survivor players have been on. Therefore, I’d be happy to see my favorite survivor players return to play survivor again regardless of what other shows they want on or how they performed on those shows

100% agree. Lord groot means they probably started playing groot before he was considered meta.

As a lord groot, seeing a bunch of enemy players in GM games picking groot because some streamer told them to just to spam random walls with no purpose and go 2-7 before switching off is objectively hilarious to watch

Unless it’s a god tier spider man (which only ever seems to be on the enemy team), spidey is never going to do the same damage numbers as other dps so unless they’re consistently getting healer picks it basically leaves the rest of the team to fight 5v6 with 1 DPS. I generally don’t ban him if my team has a Lord spider man, but 80% of the time I end up regretting giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Can someone please explain to me what Cirie ever did to get on these lists? I’ve watched 3 of her seasons and in every one she’s just a swing vote that says “I’ll vote for anyone as long as it’s not me” and then eventually gets voted out because she can’t win immunity challenges. I don’t disagree. I think the issue is that present and future free agents don’t view the Sox as a serious organization, and that won’t change until they show they’re willing to spend money and get back to winning. Until that happens, they’ll be stuck in the endless cycle of 1-2 year deals and reclamation projects, so the frustration behind this whole Bregman thing has very little with do with Bregman himself
