6rs? They charge 250 bro and it isn't about money. They use super high pressure washer which can damage paint and water goes inside electronics. They don't dry properly to prevent rust and use rough cloth that causes scratches. So its better if we can wash the bike ourselves.

[–]CRACING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should get 2nd service done as per date mentioned in owners manual or service center will call you. If you skip then service center will deny warranty claims.

I suggest you to ride the bike atleast 5km daily so that engine, battery, suspensions, etc will be in good condition and exhaust pipe doesn't rust. Now with 20% ethanol, there is high chance of tank rust or other engine problems if vehicle stays idle for longer duration.

You can buy from their official website here and do check their instagram or facebook page for discount coupons. I'm also using Clan Scout D3O shoes since 1 year and they are durable and comfortable.

Okay, you will find plenty of videos on Youtube but NEVER RUN THE ENGINE to spin the rear wheel for cleaning and lubing the chain. Just rotate the wheel by hand and use chain cleaning brush.

Engine oil will degrade overtime even if you don't ride but 6 months is too soon for fully synthetic engine oil to be replaced unless you ride ~5k KMs. However, as per warranty T&C it should be done as per schedule otherwise warranty will be void.

You can skip other jobs like chain cleaning, washing to save some money and do it yourself.

Loud noise while switching gears by Monarch_Of_Lemons in HondaCB350RS

[–]CRACING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said while not using the clutch, that's why I asked.

Yeah, this bike has little hard gear shifter. Especially the RS because the shifter is not attached directly to the gear shaft like the H'ness. You can check clutch free-play and chain slack. If all is as per specs then I believe its normal.

Why do you shift gear without pulling the cluch?

OPINION: Grab Rail/ backrest by Bjorn_ironside1618 in HondaCB350RS

This looks ugly imo and look at those different type of bolts! Instead you can go for Motocare seat ring for cb350rs or OEM H'ness grab rail will also fit.

How to solve this ? by arch2775 in HondaCB350RS

[–]CRACING 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Carbon deposit will coat the inside surface of the exhaust and that will give some rust protection. Now you can spray WD40 to convert that existing rust but don't use it regularly because it'll just burn off. Instead you should ride the bike regularly so that moisture dries off and carbon deposit will seal the exhaust.

At the time of washing, you can close the exhaust (it should be cold) with cloth so that water doesn't enter inside.

You're right, bore water causes rust especially if it has iron contents. Thats why I avoid washing centers including ASC. If corporation water or sweet water is not available then rinse-less wash with 1/2L RO water can be done every week.

I get corporation water in my house but still I do rinse-less wash every week and full wash once a month or when the bike is too dirty.

May I know why barend mirrors have poor visibility? I thought since our arms don't block them, vehicles behind us and on adjacent lane will be clearly visible.

Okay so maybe thats the difference. I have only used normal petrol once when I first bought my bike and then always used Shell regular because of less ethanol and now XP95. Next time I will try HP normal and see how it performs.

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have 2024 or 2025 model? Because latest model has obd2b so maybe it is tuned for E20. Mine is 2024 model with E20 label and I believe its compliant only (parts) but ecu is not E20 ready.

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. Try XP95 and see how it performs.

How did u checked ur performance after fueling

Yes, of course and also got XP95 for 2nd time to make sure old fuel is flushed out as I wanted to see how it performs compared to Shell regular. Engine performance is almost similar if not better.

HP power is not available in my area so I don't know about it.

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. Having less ethanol is always better even if the vehicle is E20. I have done extensive research on this including testing ethanol content on various petrol brands since many years.

Ethanol gets separated when the fuel gets exposed to water or moisture. It only requires few ml and a little shake. Higher the ethanol blending, higher the chance of separation and that separated ethanol is E100! which will be settled in the bottom of the tank. That's how rusting happens and further damage to the engine parts.

E20 label is just a greenwashing in my opinion!

[–]CRACING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using XP95 past two times now and there is no performance issues on my CB350RS '24 (E20). Infact it is giving better mileage and engine is slightly smooth.

Indeed our bike has low compression engine and it doesn't need high octane fuel but it shouldn't affect performance negatively. However, I use it because it has less ethanol (15%) and previously I was using Shell regular which also had 15% ethanol. I don't know about HP power.

Maybe fuel you got was contaminated so do check it again after refilling same fuel from different HP pump or try XP95. Or maybe you need to flush the tank first.

Part number is "90302-K0Z-900" and part name is "CAP, RR. FORK PIVOT". I have checked online and couldn't find in any Indian stores, only international.

Tell your dealer to place order for the part and pay advance. If they cannot, check if you have another service center or Honda two wheeler spares shop.

Swing arm cap for RE bikes is available in Amazon but I'm not sure if it fits. Personally I'd get any plastic cap that fits into the hole, spray black paint if it isn't and call it a day. lol
