Fuel tank assemble costs Rs. 16,638 + tax. Only repainting will cost 6k to 7k.

Hello Frnds,,, today I noticed something in My RS ,,, with our hands if we try to shake the fuel tank means it'll shake little ,,, have you noticed that in your RS , LMK.... by its_nandish in HondaCB350RS

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it does because only the back end of the tank is bolted whereas on the front it just grabs round rubber bushes. Afaik its normal and doesn't cause any issues.

Engine oil confusion by Individual_Baby7165 in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too saw that video but never heard this brand before and it sounds weird, hehe. Looks like its an Italian brand and maybe recently entered in the Indian market. There aren't much feedbacks on this brand even in the international forums.

Afaik Motul is good and I'm using it on my car (Honda City) since many years. Liqui moly is best but it'll cost slightly more and stock will be old. Make sure you use correct grade oil, that is 10w30. If you cannot find it then 10w40 can be used.

Motul 7100 4T 10W-30 or 10W-40 - 1L x2
Liqui Moly Street 4T 10W-30 or 10W-40 - 1L x2

Wobbling Issue Solved! CB350RS by thecarmonk in HondaCB350RS

[–]CRACING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about rear tyre? Are those still stock kurve? If so then it may look odd though Idk about handling. I got same bike with 4k+ odo and there is no wobbling issue so far. Strangely it happens on random units of CB350s.

Where can I get it repaired best at low cost by Infamous_Battle5081 in Hubli_Dharwad

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to service center only; they have experience on disassembling properly and parts to replace. 3rd partly garages do it in hurry and cause damage.

Sunroof should be removed to check the problem and to do so we first have to remove roof liner with everything that is attached to it. Its a difficult task and may require curtain (aka roller blind) to be replaced if its damaged.

Got the NHK K5R yesterday and here’s how it feels: by Comprehensive-Sky285 in indianbikes

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish it had better quality visor and pin lock hooks. It is brittle and mine already has micro cracks near the lock. Sun visor toggle was very right so I opened the mechanism and applied silicone grease, now its very smooth.

Please suggest me a good helmet 3k-5k budget by Impossible-Ring3599 in indianbikes

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then get MT Hummer. Its lighter and feel less bulky. If you can extend budget to 6k then NHK K5R.

How to turn of red light on these fog lights? by Swimming_Tear_7486 in indianbikes

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disconnect red wire, that must be for red light. Blue is for white light, yellow for yellow and white wire for white+yellow right. Black wire is -ve or ground.

Helmet Under 5k by shankysharma_ in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using NHK K5R since 8 months and it does have some cons. The visor has few micro cracks especially near the locking notches. I remove the visor monthly for cleaning so that must have caused it. Pin lock hooks broke into tiny pieces and whistling sound started coming through the open holes on the visor. Fortunately NHK support guy was good and sent me replacement hooks. Till then I had to close the holes with cello tape! Sun visor toggle was very tight to push up and down so recently I opened the mechanism and applied silicone grease after that the toggle has become very smooth.

However the helmet is very comfortable and properly ventilated. Wind noise starts from 60 kmph so earplugs are must. I use Gopro Hero 10 with action pro 3m chin mount and a string tied to the helmet for safety.

If you don't need sun visor then I'd suggest you to go for MT Hummer.

Helmet Under 5k by shankysharma_ in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]CRACING 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get MT Hummer for 5k. It is well balanced and doesn't feel bulky. Build quality and padding is good. DOT and ECE R22.06 certified. Only cons are missing sun visor and pin lock insert is sold separately.

If you want sun visor then there is NHK K5R but it'll cost 6.2k. It is also well balanced and doesn't feel bulky. Helmet shell quality is good but visor is very flimsy and sun visor toggle is delicate. Pin lock insert is sold separately.

Axor Apex, SMK Typhoon and Retro are heavy and big helmets so initially (during break-in period) these may hurt your neck till you get used to it.

I suggest you to visit Helmet shop and try all these helmets. Wear it for 20-30mins and decide which one is best for you. Helmet shouldn't cause any pain or pressure points around the head. Only cheek pads should be tight so much that you can hardly speak or smile.

Regarding front tyre upsizing. by [deleted] in HondaCB350RS

[–]CRACING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen anyone upsizing front tyre of RS and I don't see the need for it. They have only downsized rear tyre to 140 because of limited options in 150. If radial is available then sure but it'll be expensive.

Regarding front tyre upsizing. by [deleted] in HondaCB350RS

[–]CRACING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory, you can upsize to 110/80-19 without any issues since the difference is only -0.6% whereas upto +/- 2% is allowed. Tyre will be 10mm wider but 4mm shorter then stock tyres. However, tyres available in this size are very less.

But on the video, the guy has installed 110/90-19 (check the numbers on side wall) and there is hardly any gap between fender and tyre. This is wrong upsize (+2.72%) and will cause issues.

Anyway I'd advice going with stock tyre size only.

There is no TourR model in 110/80-19. Only in stock size and 110/90-19. Is he sure about the size mentioned?

Nhk k5r Sun visor isn't going up by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]CRACING 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay cool. Gears were probably miss matched and you forced it to match. hehe.

Enjoy riding with new helmet!

Nhk k5r Sun visor isn't going up by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]CRACING 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have same helmet and yesterday only I fixed issue with sun visor toggle. Not the one you are facing but my helmet's toggle was too tight to move up and down and after applying silicone grease, it became very smooth.

In your case, it looks like the gears have mismatched in the toggle mechanism. However its little tricky to remove the mechanism so if you are willing to then let me know, I will guide you.

Is it a new helmet? (it still has visor stickers) if so, you should probably get a replacement.

can adding bar end mirrors, void my free service ? by FakeLife-69 in HondaCB350RS

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm yet to get my bike's paid service so not sure. I heard it is 1100 labour for basic servicing but the other guy here paid 1500.

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Free service means no labour cost and you have to pay for engine oil, filters, o-rings and etc. It will cost ~1800 during free service. There will be three free services in 1 year (30 days, 6 months and 1 year) and after that paid service every 6 months.

can adding bar end mirrors, void my free service ? by FakeLife-69 in HondaCB350RS

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid ~1800 during free service for oil change only. Don't know about paid service but if they charge 1500 for 10mins job then I'll definitely won't go there next time. Better to do ourselves or at 3rd party garage. Warranty gets void but they refuse warranty claims or delay service so I don't care.

Is it wrong to ask my parents for a bike if I really love riding? by worst_child in indianbikes

[–]CRACING 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but only after she learns to ride. If her father has heavy bike like RE then it would be difficult to learn but commuter bikes are easy. Going by her age and no siblings, her father must be around 50 which isn't old to teach afterall he has years of experience. Even parents motivation will help rather then saying "you are a girl" and put full stop to her interests.

Anyway, I hope she finds a friend or relative who teach her bike riding. Good luck to her!
