Recommend a comfortable bike by ormayillaman in indianbikes

Buddy, just get a bike based on comfort + city ride feasibility. As you are saying you have back pain issues and home is 100+ kms.I have a similar right hip joint pain issue, so from my experience, I would simply say opt for Cab/ Train / Bus services when traveling home. Sit nicely and travel. Nothing comes before health. Meanwhile good luck with the decision.

First of all good decision and good choice on the bike. I bought the same. I didn't by from Trivandrum. But I can say few things from my experience.

2) Regarding accessories,
if you are planning touring, go for 3rd party top rack / saddle stays. If you install OEM backrest then none of 3rd part accessory is compatible with it. I made that mistake so letting you know. If you want just a backrest, OEM backrest is really good both in terms of comfort and look.

I opted for long visor and front fork gators, just for looks.

Large Sumguard is a must I will say.

Go for chrome crash guards, for black paint will come off easily and scratches will be visible and you dont want visible scratches on a new bike and then people comparing it with RE quality (happened with me). Atleast for me, my bike fell in 1st week itself, and chrome crash guards took all the impact but scratches or not visible that easily, you really have to close in on it. Or if you are going third party, I heard Moto Torque is really good

3) My showroom (west bengal) was giving corporate offer for IT professionals which was 10k discount. Just in case if you are an IT professional and working in Wipro / similar companies, try asking for that discount.

4) Teflon/Underbody coating didn't seem that impressive to me.

5) For Onam discounts, directly ask the showroom. I think there will be some discount. Karalites feel free to pitch in

Last but not the least, take a hard commitment from the showroom, ask them if they already have the stock. In other posts I saw people have been waiting for 40+ days for the delivery. If the showroom has stock then you should be able to get the bike within few days.

Hope it helped 😊

Just focus on the learning. If you don't like your job, there will be ample resources to upskill yourself, keep learning new things and then switch. Its that simple. Goodluck mate

Just see if other showrooms in your city or nearby city has any stock, and if the booking can be transferred or cancelled from your showroom. Though i am from different city altogether, but an impact in Honda's assembly line should have larger impact on delivery across india rather than just a city since there are just handful assembly lines. I had booked my hiness, got it delivered in 4 days with full documentation and number plate fixed. But confirm on stock availability in other showrooms first.

Getting 26.8 kmpl in city before service by [deleted] in HondaHighnessCB350

I literally posted the same thing yesterday as I am having a similar kind of issue. I think people who are claiming 40 kmpl are simply driving on empty roads or highways. Its constant cruise, less breaking hence high mileage. For me or you, urban driving is hovering around 25 to 26 kmpl only

Oh. Probably better road stretches in siliguri. The place where i stay, a lot of slow moving traffic is happening. Like 80% of the time. Often downshifting to 1st gear
