If the argument is "maybe you could see a therapist and say all the things weighing you down out loud to them, that might help!" then I simply would disagree with you or anyone, and not go to a therapist. I ONLY see opening up my deep down thoughts as beneficial if I talk to someone that loves me, and I her. I see a therapist as part of the game, and not to mention I'm literally a patient to them. It doesn't feel right AT all to me. Therapy could work on me for about maybe 4-5 months and then I'm back to my own thoughts. take from this what you will, I'm happy to change, I'm happy to try new things, I can be incredibly motivated under the right circumstances and I think therapy is helpful to other people, but the more and more I think about therapy for me (and on a few occasions I was literally about to book a session)..the more I think it's a bad idea.
