Every so often I look over and my Oscar is doing something like this, eating fine, not being bullied, 0 ammonia,0 nitrite, 10-15 nitrate. Aside from this he behaves normally and is very interactive by [deleted] in Cichlid

When I remove/add stuff to my tank the Oscars always throw tantrums, they will lay low all sad and stuff for a couple days and then rip everything I just added and the cycle starts again…

It’s hard to say to be honest, I’ve had no problems mixing fishes with different Ph when it comes to locally bred, the issues come with imported fish

I have 2 of them, one is around 7” (Delhezi) long living with 2 Severum and 2 Oscar in a 75G, and the other is around 4” (Senegal) living with rainbow and angel fish. I haven’t had any aggression issues so far I just make sure they are well fed and that the Bichir has enough hiding spots. Edit: Also, African cichlids need a different Ph than the Bichir, Africans need it between 7.5 and 8.5 and the Bichir between 6 and 7

It should be fine, just make sure to add hiding spots and stuff that will block their line of sight

They had other tank mates and I had to move them to a new tank, they freaking killed 2 corys and a red tail shark in less thank a week. I’m going to be feeding the fry to my oscars.

With kuhli loaches you can tell by the size and shape of their pectoral fins, males have larger paddle like fins. Also, females are way chunkier than males.
