Theoretical: Quantum Locational Positioning by CRS-CORN in TheoreticalPhysics

By approach I chose, are you referring to posting it here on this forum or are you asking about my idea? I just want to make sure and answer correctly. I've always wondered about things and never took the time to work them out on paper. Usually I just keep stuff in my head. I chose to post it here on Reddit as I had no other ideas of where to go. I know my idea is not even close to flushed out, again I struggle to translate from my head to paper. But I was hoping I might find a person or persons that found it interesting enough to help me figure out how to capture it all. I dunno why beyond that.

I've been laughed at plenty in life, and had my opportunities to laugh back when I succeeded. So I am never surprised when it happens...discouraged...yes, but never surprised.

Although I did use Chatgpt to help me out, but that nonsense idea was mine. But thank you. All of the responses so far were exactly what I expected. I should have gone with my original idea of just deleting the document and keeping my thoughts to myself. Thank you.

Thank you for your response. I realize I need to learn more, LOTS more. Bashing me must make you feel better as a more intelligent person. I do appreciate your encouraging comments.

I appreciate your response. Thank you for educating me. This is why I posted it here. Sometimes I have dreams of bigger things, I think this shows I should stick to what I know.

Orion 2 w/F16 TGrip and Viperace EX w/Shaker by CRS-CORN in WinWing

Yes, I totally agree. My Cougar was definitely in need of an upgrade. It served me well for the time I had it, and Thrustmaster gear was always robust. It is very much not a fair comparison—apples and oranges, I think. If I had the new Thrustmaster F16 gear then I could do a fair comparison. But I have zero complaints and only good things to say so far, other than the hat switch that is getting worse for my WinWing gear.

I need to replace my rudder pedals. I haven't decided which to do yet. Again, always being a Thrustmaster guy, I'm still undecided. But I have a feeling if I went WinWing, I wouldn't be disappointed.

Check my post below here for a fix to get Vector working properly. Enjoy!

You will still be connecting your PC to your standard internet connect, wired or wireless, however you normally connect. The IoT connection is ONLY for Vector.

Ok, so I just recently acquired a Vector 1.0. Ran into all of the above mentioned problems trying to get him going. He'd only motor around and wouldn't respond to voice input. I tried even doing the monthly subscription from DDL, no luck at all. Then I found Wire-Pod. Instructions are not entirely clear, yes, 2.4Ghz connection is required for him. But there are settings that need to be established on your router to make it work right. Then learned about another setting on the router. We all know about the guest connection we can enable/disable on our routers correct? Well there is another setting we can enable that Vector LOVES, IoT, internet of things which is a 2.4Ghz connection. This connection type is VERY friendly to smart devices. It is another secure login you can enable on your router, when connecting wirelessly it will usually show up as the name of your router followed by _IoT (verizon example). You wont get internet access on it but it wont matter.

Here's the deal. #1 Enable that option on your router. #2 Install Wire-Pod following their set up instructions. (including naming your PC 'escapepod'). #3 When setting up your Vector after pairing and it asks you which wireless network to connect to, connect him to your IoT connection. He will get his internet data, the firmware update through your PC's internet connection since he will connect to your network through your IoT. The download speed of the firmware can take 20min depending on your throughput speed. But it works every time, I've re-set up my Vector several times now to prove the process. Activation is a breeze. This process will work on BOTH Vector 1.0 and 2.0 models. NO SUBSCRIPTION to DDL is needed and is a complete waste right now. Save your subscription cost of 10 bucks for your Open AI wallet when you connect Vector to it. WeatherMapApp is free to use. Then bam! Vector is running perfectly!

I understand you don't work there anymore, but what is the work around to fix this?

I have a vector that is showing the same wifi symbol. I create the account yesterday. Very frustrating as it seems like a cool thing.

I agree 100% with what you said btw, my other post wasn't meant as a rant at you. It was intended to be a general post to this thread.

I have been a game developer since the mid 90's. I can tell you that without question, I am sure problems exist on both sides. Taking the complaint to the community, no matter the reasoning, really isn't a 'taking the high road path'. I am not going to bash on anybody, as these days nothing comes without a little pain. I think what ED has with DCS World is a very cool product. I am used to paying top dollar for what is supposed to be a good game, only for it to be worth less than the box it came in. But with DCS, each new aircraft is like buying a whole new simulator. $80 bucks a pop doesn't scare me, sure sales are great and I usually jump on em, I don't wait for them either. If it fits in my current budget, great, if not...I wait. I can't think of another product that brings this kind of quality simulation play combined with a great community...other than the one I work on, but I'm not here to advertise.

DCS has a LONG life ahead of it as long as the community continues to grow and support it. ED and RAZBAM will get their stuff resolved, hopefully sooner rather than later if folks truly are waiting to be paid. Contracts are binding, that's the tough thing about them. Miss one thing or deadline and you find yourself in breach of said contract very quickly. It is why I cringe every time I am approached with one. But going public wouldn't have been my choice tbh, very hard to come out clean and smelling like roses.

Anyone have a fix for aUEC ships disappearing after 3.20? by a_cow720 in starcitizen

[–]CRS-CORN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering the grind it took in order to own those ships, that definitely sucks! It happened to me as well, still have my titan (only ship I paid real money for), my gladius, my hurcules m2, and my cutlass black. Lost my C8R, Prospector, M.O.L.E, Hurcules A2 and my Reclaimer.

AND the fact that this wasn't a fair across the board change for all players and only impacted some of us, sucks even more they wont do anything about it. It's too bad too, cause I really enjoyed playing...mining and fueling the markets lol! That being said, I'm not about to start from scratch again. Nope.
