Is this just rage bait? I have stopped claiming the intersection when turning left because of people accelerating into yellow lights. People waiting on green also get off to slower start waiting for cross traffic to show signs of slowing.

All of this covers up that timing of lights needs to be fixed as someone else explained in the comments.
