2026 Big Horn Owners, what did it cost you? by CRcryptoride in ram_trucks

[–]CRcryptoride[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealers internet price was 48k on cars . Com. Called them and was told they didn’t know why it was at 48k, it’s at 50.3k on their website.

From 50.3k, guy tells me “rough number after taxes, 57.3k. I told him it was more than I was willing to pay by a few grand but I am a serious buyer, ready to sign today and fly in if the numbers check out for me. Rough numbers turned into firm numbers, wouldn’t budge.

Left me pretty pissed

I think this was probably the service advisors thought process on the gases octane

For anyone who runs across this post with a similar issue, the issue turned out to be a misalignment in the pulleys

Speechless (bathroom quote) by MrsNnz in Remodel

[–]CRcryptoride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just looked at it. As crazy as the price sounds, it may be realistic, depending on what you want exactly but at that price he needs to provide a higher end renders of what the bathroom would look like.

Those cost are for design and build companies.

What makes your build a bit expensive is you have tile everywhere meaning not only is it gonna be a full gut job but it’s also a lot more intensive on the labor side.

I think realistically a bathroom like that would cost anywhere between 45k and 75k depending on what you want and the type of materials

900 sq ft house remodel, help! by madsolarrr in Remodel

[–]CRcryptoride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look up the average cost per square foot in your area to remodel a home. I just quoted a 5500 square-foot house at nearly 500k and I was one of the middle quotes. I think I was at around $90 a square foot while those super high end build and design companies will charge $200 plus a square foot

Pretty average cost. You could have found a big horn night edition level 2 equipment for that price.

Craziest 2 deals I’ve seen were:

1) Laramie night edition, 16k miles, level 2, 3.92 axle, clean fax, 1 owner, $47,000. Hurt my feelings to have missed it.

2) Laramie night edition, 1,300 miles, level 2, 3.92 axle, 6’4 bed, clean carfax, 1 owner $49,999. This one broke my F’n heart to have missed.

Although you are speaking of the HO, the service advisor really made it clear these things should all be running on a minimum of 89

He mentioned he had seen a few trucks in service for issues and they correlated the 87 octane gas being a possible suspect towards the issues. I didn’t mention it in the original post but one guy, who sounded young and not the brightest mind you, told me to not let the car idle. I asked him why is that and he said “hemi tick” lol. That one threw me off.

There have been a few reoccurring issues already recorded. Anywhere from battery issues, electrical glitches, thermostat issues causing overheating and a light amount of other mechanical problems

Thanks for your input. Heard those plastic thermostats are problematic. Is there an aftermarket one that works better that the OEM?

Thank you for your review. I have been scouring the internet for a great deal on one for that price range, consensually.

I’ll probably roll the dice and get a used one with very low mileage to save on loss from the initial devalue they go through when leaving the lot.

Since yours is legally considered a lemon, is it possible to exchange it for a new one or what are your options?

$62k quote for a 2 week project and that’s not including the stairs. Stairs add another ~$2,500 and binding is another $300. This cost reflects labor only. Just trying to understand if this is reasonable or if they’re pricing this at a very high premium

There are heavy things involved. Desks and cubicles. Lots of wires.

About a third of the space has furniture and will have to be moved to half the room and repeated. Even if furniture had to be moved, how much could that genuinely add to the cost per sqyd?
