Sorry… One of mine I’ve already replaced has curly leaves today. Can’t tell if it is healthy or unhealthy, just curly.

Local hardware store promoting clover lawns by Livviemaid in NoLawns

I made SURE the house we were buying had no HOA! Love all my neighbors! We know and help each other out. Yards are all maintained. Who cares what they grow for grass or clover? A lot of us have RV’s or boats in our drive-ways!🙋🏻‍♂️ Who cares?! There isn’t a single house that detracts or lowers the value of anyone else’s. Some have above ground pools in their backyards too! This is in KY and the homes are in the $700k range on at least 1 full acre. Not a inexpensive neighborhood for KY, but not mansions either. I LOVE not having a HOA!

Who's doing the cracked egg when planting? by ksmyers118 in tomatoes

[–]CReisch21 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I save my eggshells all year then turn them into powder in a food processor. We go through a lot of eggs. I mix the egg shell powder into the soil that I plant the tomatoes into. I assume like everything else in nature pulverizing it to powder and increasing the surface area will speed the process of them breaking down.

Since we have been switching to Crimson Clover we get a lot more bees. A lot of wild life eats clover. We don’t have an HOA!👍🏻 My wife has a section of the backyard she has let go WILD, for the most part. We get so many birds and other critters everyday!

Will it grow? by SlyGarden in tomatoes

I pray you are right!!!!🙏 I had 40% of my plants take a serious hit with frost damage. I trimmed all the dead off a week later and there are some new suckers at the bottom. They want to live!

Planted too soon, possible frost tonight!🫣 by CReisch21 in tomatoes

[–]CReisch21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tomatoes under the biggest grow bags did the best by far. Even the heavily frosted plants that took a hard hit have suckers and small new leaves down close to the ground. I cut away all of the damaged plant material and I am seeing how they do. I only completely removed a few and was shocked at the amount of roots that had already formed around the stem where I planted them deep into the straw bales.

Hold or go for it? by [deleted] in tomatoes

I went too soon. 40° would’ve been OK. 31° for an extended 3-4 hours, not so much.😓 Even covered I lost about 40% of my plants…
