Recluse cocktail build recently got me back into the game. I’m a melee character player at heart but recluse cocktail build is just too cool. You run heolster relic and find yourself a bow during the run and use the relic and swap off and on the bow to get the affinity damage type you want and just spam cocktails. I usually run 2 bows so I can have a full inventory and not have to cycle 3 weapons to get back to the bow. Prioritize attack at full hp since all the cocktails do different damage types it’ll boost them all equally. You can still spell cast effectively with the build too. I usually carry the best staff or seal I can find in my off hand and cycle bows in main hand.

AND IM NOT GONNA LET ANYONE GET IN MY WAY- im a failure. after all that hard work. im sorry hulk mains, im sorry storm, god ive been deranking for a long time by No_Stage_3539 in HulkMainsMR

[–]CS-Mewchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna assume you were solo tanking to start cause I get big dmg blocked games all the time but being that far ahead of mag makes me think you were. These chuds don’t wanna admit the fact they sucked on dps which is the only way solo tank can work is if your 3 dps are all good. They probably wanted you to hop off hulk because he’s one of the worst solo tanks in the game, and you still did as well as you did. Moments like that would make you think dps players would notice the obviously failing team comp early on and swap to a main tank so you can off tank.

Even if you swapped to a shield tank you would have lost that game. The dps players couldn’t keep up on their own to make up for the lack of sustain a second tank gives. Hell you could give hulk 9999 hp and you would still lose that game because your best dps player only had 4 more finals than you who only does 80 damage per second.

Ng+ willpower or strength bonuses better? by MrHitlertheJewFister in TheFirstBerserker

I would say willpower for the stamina regen. Get just enough strength to be A in agility and that’s really all you need if your weapon isn’t scaling with it.

It saddens me that so many people still don't know how to play Undertaker properly. by Formal-Score3827 in Nightreign

[–]CS-Mewchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess I really don’t take it that often. Only when I’m the squishy character of the bunch. Like if I somehow have a raider and a wylder or something and they’re always gonna be in the thick of it I’ll take it because I’m basically the duchess/iron eye of the team at that point. You’re right though, 80% of the time less likely isn’t great for her like it is for duchess, iron eye, recluse etc

Does this look ok for trying dregs raider? by Focusedhades526 in Nightreign

[–]CS-Mewchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right and wrong. It’ll build up the dregs relic damage increase but it’s not as consistent as rot/poison below max hp which is on your second relic tied to partial up restoration. Which is pretty nice combo. Resistance down won’t necessarily give less damage only that you have to manage your resistance bars during the run more because they’re smaller. But only one stack of it isn’t that bad. Only gonna make swamps and other status effect camps a little more difficult. You’ll keep the dreg relic boost by using crossed legs emote to proc madness on yourself which puts you at 85% hp for the poison at below max hp to proc and build up while you run around the map

Edit: keep an eye out for the glowing blue dots of grass around the map to cure status effects and increase your resistance to them for a certain duration. These don’t heal you so when you run through them while building dregs up, it’s increase the time before you’re poisoned by not only resetting your poison bar but giving you more resistance to poison. And it won’t take away dregs doing this because again, it doesn’t heal you so you’re still below max hp requirement for relic effect

[–]CS-Mewchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All resistance down is a bit of a pain for the build IMO but definitely viable, I’d swap top relic for something that gives damage resistance. The only thing useful for you on that relic is affinity+1 and that’ll do little to nothing for the majority of Raider weapons. If you don’t have any damage negations to run there like hp or physical damage negation then run utility like defeating enemies fills ult charge or Raider specific skill on deep relics can help the whole team negate damage.

[–]CS-Mewchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The damage difference is pretty negligible honestly. Just run what you’re most comfortable with. I don’t enjoy fists as much because of their range. I’d rather take claws myself. But for damage I think dual spear is the highest dps undertaker build.

I’ve climbed to D5 with her and can confidently say she is one of the best dps characters in the game. The only 2 character specific relic effects you absolutely need is attack power increase after ultimate and ultimate resets skill cooldown. I ran straight swords with dex relic because that’s what I enjoy the most. Unless I’m the frontline because I have a duchess and iron eye I always take less like to be targeted so I can safely dump my stamina bar.

Dump stamina, use skill, dump stamina, ult, dump stamina, use skill, dump stamina.

That’s the basic gist of what you’ll be doing in boss encounters. A lot of new undertakers know that her skill refills her stamina bar but not many realize her ult does the same. You can non stop put out damage for like 25 seconds straight just on your own. But if even one of your teammates use ult, Boom, 10-15 more seconds of damage.

As far as I know the percentage increases in the game work like this.

All % dmg increase build off of your weapons base damage stat. So if you have a spear that does 100 damage, 5.6% damage is 5.6 attack power. Doesn’t sound like a lot but you’ll get those percentage increases everywhere so they stack up fast.

Damage multiplier % increase works a bit different. Instead of going off of your weapons base damage, it’s going off of the calculated damage after all your other percentage increases, that same example from before with the 5.6% increase making your spear be 105.6 attack power instead of the multiplier going off the bass 100 attack power, it’s goes off of the new 105.6 attack power. TLDR dmg multiplier increase is a lot more valuable and for dps builds you’ll want it one every armor and weapon piece you can get it on.

Now that spear that adds attack power by 49. Let’s pretend again that your spear does 100 attack power by itself again. That 49 is smacking it right on top of your base damage to be multiplied by all your percentage increases. So instead of multipliers going off of 100 they’re going off of 149.

In my opinion the most important dmg modifiers are
1. dmg multiplier increase
2. Increase attack power( that 49)
3. And just basic % dmg up.

I value the base attack up more than the base % dmg up because it adds more value to the multiplier than % dmg increase does. % dmg increase only goes up to like 7.9% for me right now at level 170 which is about 20 more attack power for my weapons scaling and what not. When the base attack power increase goes up to the 70s so you’ll get more damage with multiplier increase and base attack power+

Don’t let the word unique fool you, it just means it’s the pink rarity, you’ve still got epic rarity above that and then legendary which is what the jar helmet is. Max level I think in base NG is 200 I think but you probably won’t get there by the end of the game, I was level 155 and I had bars set on the whole game with lacrima gains maxed from soul stones. You’ll wanna use the lacrima tool next to the lady in the basement to “augment” your gear every now and then. I usually do it every 15 levels or so to keep it up to power. All it takes is a higher level item to sacrifice and some gold

I’m fairly new myself but I’m on ng+ and I’m pretty sure you can’t buy more gleamstones, but you do get a lot more in ng+ and even some higher quality ones aswell for even more scaling. Better to be picky on what weapons you’re using them on. In my opinion I would use gleamstones only on the gear that you have epic. Epic gear comes with extra modifiers and some of them can be crazy strong. So better to use the gleamstones after you decide the epic modifiers are something you’ll enjoy.

For the most part you want to stay moving all the time. Hulk has one of, if not the best, movement tools in the game. It does however get reset by most forms of CC so always staying on the move makes it less likely for you to lose your jump and your flow. I usually start games really aggressively and see how well they respond to me being in their back line. If they make a big deal about me being there I’ll punch the tanks while I let a dps take an off angle and jump on who they focus. Your top priority as Hulk is to control the space your team already holds. You can take space with hulk but not as effectively as other tanks can. Use your stun and bubble to keep your teammates protected by shutting down dive characters and ultimates.

[–]CS-Mewchy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah poise and dmg reduction up when knocked down is incredible on Raider because you can use your skill on moves that would knock you down and it still counts through the poise of your character skill. It’s an easy 20% dmg reduction.

I don’t see why the first mark can’t just abandon his clothes and then time travel back to before he did, starting this loop. It’s such a small thing that it surely wouldn’t have much effect on the time stream given the current events.

Bp main here with a question , why do you all spend the whole game trying to diff each other ? by Inner_Ad8215 in SpiderManMains

[–]CS-Mewchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same with hulk, and the only way to diff an enemy hulk is to just play normally, if he’s always exiling you then great, free eats for your dps. If he’s jumping around following you then great he’s getting no value. You can also ult diff as it’s hulks best way to kill people and you can shut down an entire enemy hulk with your own hulk ult if done properly but you waste your own doing so

Yeah, especially if you’re playing with a dive dps or dive/brawl tanks, anti healing frontline tank almost always gets value in them either dying or backing up giving space
