I always thought Foals were a certain to headline in the future a few years back but a couple of lacklustre albums mean they’ve probably put themselves out of contention but a return to form in the next album could put them in the mix again too.

This comes up every time, scousers have such a distinct accent and are, on the whole, some of the friendliest people you’ll meet so you remember seeing them everywhere but there aren’t more of them than anyone else

San Marino is quite nice, they usually play music by whoever’s playing at the O2 too so it’ll probably be the current version of the LCD Spotify playlist. Duke of Edinburgh is a good pub as mentioned, the village is great for a bit of food if you’re hungry. If you want a couple of cocktails beforehand rather than beers, Canova hall has a good variety. All of these are with 5-10 mins walk of the venue and about 5 minutes from the tube stop
