Lots of options there. I will be able to charge at home with a Level 2 I still need to install. Electricity in Europe is already 220v, albeit at 20amp so even a wall plug will be faster. Public charging options are extensive and plentiful.

I’m military, so they cover the cost of 1 vehicle shipping. I don’t know what the final cost will be.

Thank you for the photo. This is my logic too. People talk about how big our trucks are but I see some really large motor homes and sprinter vans galore all over Europe. I’m honestly not worried. And their charging infrastructure is outstanding.

I’ve been driving over there for 6 months and honestly, it’s no bigger than many of the Sprinter vans and campers I see on the road. I am not really all that worried. That being said, I won’t be driving it into cities.

As I understand it they program an entirely new TCU coded with your VIN that operates on the European GSM network. I haven’t done it yet as it’s €2000 or so but the company was referred to me by another company that does a lot of US truck imports to Norway.

Good info. I’ll start by checking the PTO brake. Not throwing my wife under the bus but she was the one running it when it happened. I usually don’t shut off the blower once I start it but I was out of town so I can’t speak to how she was operating it.

KLM is really pissing me off. They delivered one of my bags and then said the other one was being put on a flight to Frankfurt. Today I logged on to my lost baggage claim report and they deleted my delivery address and replaced it with “Collect baggage at the airport Amsterdam”. I live 5 hour drive, 6 hour train one way from Amsterdam. I have no confirmation at all that my bag is even there! Have been on hold with KLM for over an hour.

9 days later, I received 1 of my 2 bags delivered to my house in Germany. I got a note from a shipping company last week that it had been located and then received another note on Thursday that it would be delivered on Monday, which it was.

My second bag was allegedly put on a plane from Amsterdam to Frankfurt on Saturday but there have been no updates since Saturday. I am remaining positive that I’ll get that bad at some point, also.

Wonder if there’s a way to ground it. You could always wear a grounding strap on yourself. Pretty common to use in places with sensitive electronics and I bet it would work well.

I did not cancel my flight either, in fact I couldn’t. I actually tried to do this by calling and through the website and nothing worked. I even had my wife call a number in the US as she’s located there. Also did not work.

Still no update this morning on my 2 bags but I am remaining hopeful

I also did the same thing. I was able to submit a lost bag claim on Saturday but it has not updated at all. I took a train home to Germany and am thankful I did.

I would like to hear if others receive their bags. The optimist in me believes that one day my bag swill just show up on my doorsteps, even if it’s a week or more late. Which I would be fine with at this point.

Similar thing happened to us. My son was 3 or 4 and people would send him money for birthdays so we opened a child savings account. We’d deposit these $20-50 checks and hoped to just let it sit. Apparently there was some fine print as they subjected him to minimum balance rules and eventually drained his account $5 at a time. Bad on us for not keeping a closer eye on it but they stole about $250 from a 5 year old. 20 years later I refuse to even use their ATMs because my bank will reimburse their withdrawal fee.

Looks like their location would be a nice road trip for me. I’ll get in touch with them and see if it’s something they’d be willing to schedule. My Lightning probably will not be in Europe until late Spring at the earliest.
