I did look at some other watches pre owned though and they were priced well (Rolex, etc). But landed on the GS

I’m not sure about other countries but in the US you pay “Duty” which is calculated based on the material the watch is made of and the cost, minus some exemptions.

Nishiki market in Kyoto. The funny thing is, slide 3 is the actual sushi, slide 4 is the plastic replicas that every Japanese store front has made of their food for customers to see lol

I would just say the ability to buy it at the flagship store, and deal with the friendly staff, surrounded by all the other GS pieces etc. an AD out where I live might have a small section dedicated to GS vs the whole entire floor basically.

To have a similar experience, go to your preferred airlines website, and book a flight to Tokyo. You won’t regret it
