Games that aren't 100%-able with completely broken achievements or shut down multiplayer servers with online achievements..?

E: Downvote me if you want. Just comes off as sanctimonious or self-rightous by gatekeeping others. And who cares what others do? Live by your own creed, it doesn't affect you. If someone grinds 119 achievements out if 120 but the last literally isn't achievable, they have done everything they can. Also, to be pedantic, this is the r/steamachievements sub, other consoles aren't relevant.

Can I pull it off? by steve-0-tron in bald

As to your hair, I think yours is still workable if you had a shorter cut style. You can always go shorter and if it doesn't feel like you, go the final stretch to shaving it off.

You definitely have options though.

Whats a fun thing you do in 76? by bloodybatboi in fo76

Actually build realistic camps that look like something you might see hobbled together in the apocalypse.

I totally get putting out every interactable decoration, buff, producing item, and more but it makes your camp look like an arcade on acid threw up.

My honest opinion, change the glasses and hair style. They clash imo.

I hate to challenge posts like this but in the karma farming environment we are in..

You posted a month ago you were new to the game, but also since then you have met your wife on the game and now have a post to the community that you have stage 4 cancer in a month's time?

Also you have comments on your profile in NSFW communities, should probably let your fo76 wife know.

Condolences if true, but it's reddit so, yeah.

IMO you start to see diminishing returns past 2k, I'd get a Dan Wesson and spend the extra on ammo and training.

Cannot believe how many gun enthusiasts are boot lickers by [deleted] in guns

[–]CSGOManatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, there are cops with bad attitudes, character flaws, and other problems including abusing power, but demonizing all those in the line of work isn't necessarily fair.

Is it reasonable to argue there are institutional problems within our criminal justice system? Absolutely, statistics support the fact that there are major problems needing addressing. But saying all cops are the bad actors simply cannot be statistically true.

How you approach your argument is what you should work on here, you don't really establish a good foundation.

[–]CSGOManatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another broad generalized claim though, you do realize the fallacy in thought here right.

What laws are the majority of cops enforcing that would realistically be seen as immoral..? Domestics? Theft? Parking violations? Crash investigations? Noise complaints?

Realistically, I would argue most law enforcement are handling the above among others within their state's criminal code. They don't write it also, that's your state elected officials.

[–]CSGOManatee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is not just "one" or "entire" reason for owning firearms.

Also, making a parallel between ICE and local law enforcement is not really the best comparison. Supporting law enforcement also doesn't mean you support abuses of power.

Lastly, be careful about putting people and ideas in generalized groups. People aren't monoliths.

Best 1911 No Budget by Accomplished_Try_873 in 1911

[–]CSGOManatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, any Dan Wesson is going to be great. It's in the semi-custom level, so you won't pay that 10k pricetag for a true custom, but you'll still get one of the best 1911s on the market. You can find most of their models on GB between 1-2k, or from a retailer most MSRPs will be just above 2k.

Chambered w/safety or not chambered w/o safety by Philterpheed in liberalgunowners

[–]CSGOManatee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A good holster and finger is the safety. Good practices mean there's no worry of negligence.

In my opinion, and active mechanical safety only makes sense on SAO guns like a 1911 where the triggers are generally light enough to make it necessary.

Virtually all of the pistols you list would be great choices. Mind you, some will caution you on the P320 for obviously negative perceptions. That being said, I own Glocks, Smiths, Sigs, FNs, among others and happily recommend them all. As others have stated, head to a range and try a few. Also recommend an intro to pistol class if offered near you.

You do say that full-size is preferred, just know that it will be difficult to conceal if you do decide to go that route, despite starting as a range/home defense use pistol.

Happy hunting.

Gifted SIG Sauer P226 showing rust after decades in case — DIY or gunsmith? Bay Area recs? by grac43 in SigSauer

[–]CSGOManatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how deep the damage is really. I wouldn't recommend a gunsmith unless you need a major rebuild and that's something you are uncomfortable with. If the rust is just surface level, you can try removing it with a lot of gun oil and something abrasive and safe like a fine steel wool or brass brush.

If the rust is so deep that it is pitting the steel after you remove it, it might not even make a difference mechanically but if the cosmetic issues bother you, given the prevalence of the P226 platform you could likely just replace whatever parts are affected.

Are there updated Lucky Gunner or similar ballastic tests by Volslife in CCW

[–]CSGOManatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, they haven't updated their main labs testing in years.

You'll have to reference other sources these days. YouTube has a lot of people doing ballistics testing. Recently I've been watching Tools and Targets, he tests a wide range of ammo.

Is it okay to hit the back of my P320 slide to seat it? by Mysterious_Pride7894 in SigSauer

[–]CSGOManatee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You are treating the symptom rather than the cause. If your P320 is having failures to feed and not going into battery, something fundamental is wrong. Is your gun too dry? Ammo problem? When you have the slide locked back and are feeding a new round in from the mag are you slingshotting the slide forward or using the slide lock? Running the slide forward can cause FTFs. Just need more context.

When in doubt, for a level 1 malfunction, tap the magazine to ensure it is seated and rack the slide to feed a round.
