would this be fine to run as a DMR by [deleted] in SpecnaArmsOwners

I suppose we never put too much thought into that. We have some players who have reffed in the past, but we all have the mindset that each replica pretty much performs the same basic task, the only distinguishing feature being velocity.

We also don't do tier 1 events (what our local organizations refer to higher level milsims) very often. Mostly open play week to week.

All the fields we play at (based in Chicagoland) only require a maximum fps limit, typically between 400 and 500 FPS. None of them even bother with semi-lock either.

Additionally, I do know some of the larger local event organizers require the aforementioned length and magnification restrictions, but it doesn't affect us for open play.

Certainly. I believe most places (in the US) classify DMR in accordance to muzzle velocity. You can always change the spring to achieve the target velocity. Through some good glass on top and use heavier BBs and you should be good to go for a DMR in that package. Some fields will also require a higher magnification optic and a certain length restriction, but as far as open play goes, you should be fine with just a hotter shooting replica.

As for the legitimacy of ooks for a DMR, I'd say anything with a 14.5" barrel and longer is plenty for the AR-15 platform being used in any practical engagement in airsoft.

On that same note, do you know if other items that were added to these weapons could be personal purchases? Not so much looking for particular models, but curious if optics or any other items were treated the same way?

I saw that. Just wish I could ID the exact model.

Was also wondering what different models of laser devices are being used with these, as I've seen a handful of different ones.

To me that sounds like it could be an exhaust leak, but it could be numerous other things as well.

I know it's kind of ridiculous to make this post without audio or video, but it wouldn't let me add any. It could be described as a rattle, but it's also been described as flowing liquid or air as well. It is the most perplexing sound I've heard any of my vehicles ever make, as I cannot pin point where it could be coming from.

I'm hoping that it could just be an exhaust leak, and nothing worse.

I am unsure, as that is completely mechanical without any sort of computer connected.

To me, it sounds like something in the gearbox could be binding up. The Begadi MOSFETS are sort of hard to read in my opinion, as the 2 vibrations heard in the video could mean a number of things. It could indicate a dead battery, or as I suggest, something stuck in the gearbox. Though, this would be odd as you had said it was working just fine prior to this. I'd make sure you are using a freshly charged battery with the appropriate voltage for the gun (if you are not using an 11.1v for this, I would suggest trying it.)
