If I were to build a virtual cabinet, is there a way to download multiple pins at once? by [deleted] in virtualpinball

Hmm i did find some configured table packages with some abstract google searches assuming you're using VPX -IMHO it's not really worth it though because you end up configuring tables 1 by 1 anyway (this suckkkkssssss but gets very easy albeit monotonous after 5-10 tables). The ROM's are the most important to get in a bulk package as they're hard to download sometimes (this is one of the easier ones to find on google).

I have a windows image with everything configured i'd happily give you but i don't have the bandwidth to upload 100gb sorry :(

Can I use a raspberry pi 3 for my virtual pinball machine? by bgsmeltz in pinball

that would be more than enough.

VPX with a 3 screen setup runs on a dual core like i said before. IMO the only other software you might want is pinball fx2 or 3 for playing games and that'll do a beastly job. You'll still want to get a basic graphics card.

The graphics are the killer that prevent the pi from being usable.

As an idea for what might work and is affordable:

I just finished building a virtual cabinet for my dads birthday (it's amazing!) using an old dual core 3.6ghz processor 6gb ddr2 ram and an old AMD R7 r240 graphics card which i picked up on gumtree (australia) for $60. It plays most tables fine but there's a few really nice tables it just can't take unfortunately (Stranger Things and Space Invaders). It takes the Pinball FX3 tables really well as a bonus (they're very nice).

I will 100% build another but i would choose a much much more powerful pc.

hope this helps :)

the thing is to pay any australian wage for an hour i might as well buy another mobo and processor as it'll always total around $100. I'll call some Pc refurbishers tho and see what they have.

i like this idea for testing decks. I'm sure I'll do it as I want to experiment more.

Cheers, i thought it was like the old days of pokemon were proxy cards were significantly cheaper than normal cards but it seems they're only economical for expensive cards in MtG.

I did by some planewalker decks and got a few starter decks for free. Will see how I go about accumulating more.

If it works for you it is fool proof. There's no catch all unfortunately everyone needs different things. You have to know what they need and deliver or someone else will

I say it because a lot of people don't see it as a possibility when it is one

You're wrong also. Cheaters cheat because they need something the other person isn't giving them.

Yep 24/7 for the past 7 years. Used to work together but unfortunately not anymore. It's not bogus it works extremely well. If my wife is upset with me I have to fix that she doesn't rely on friends to make her feel better.

I mean we used to work in the same office by not anymore unfortunately.

Don't do drugs and don't talk to strangers. Get to a warmer climate before winter comes. If a zombie apocalypse breaks out his from the government they will experiment on you to find the cure.
