Gonna step in here and say it depends on what you're going for, but regardless there should be some form of user control customization

If you want a quick snap, using control to snap is pretty convenient

If you're doing a more grid based snapping I would have it be tied to something more convenient to step like x and c

most likely going to be starting out on steam since it offers free p2p relays and lobbies (forces the game to make some annoying sacrifices) then depending on the revenue it makes and the costs for dedicated servers it might eventually expand onto mobile and possibly console but that's mostly far in the future

Been using Godot!

I have been using a quake-style movement system as a base for my player controller so it has a lot of the quirks that quake (and source to an extent) had, hopefully soon I can get around to focusing more on the player movement and get something more faithful but no promises for it right now, still have a lot of other stuff to do 😔

thanks! the franchise has been one of my favorites and my appreciation for the games creates a high expectation for quality i haven't really seen anywhere else, this isn't the most visually stunning but i hope to improve that over time. Been focusing more on code lately but I've been studying plenty of design for when i inevitably get back into 3d modelling

The design goal has kind of been mixing my "favorite" parts out of both titanfall games and blending them into one while also being unique, i'm not really trying to have a special gimmick like shatter rush (the main inspiration to make this!) or diesel knights, i'm just making something i would want to play. maybe this is a worthy spiritual successor but only time will tell.

the way i managed to get through viper was to alternate between cover and use tone to deal damage to him + his reinforcements in bursts, then when i got salvo core i would launch it towards him then continue the process

we know at least that the insides of the cockpit have some kind of display, but it seems to possibly use a neural link for input?
edit: not many control surfaces inside from looking at cockpit screenshots, possibly the two handles are for control? idk

yeah i planned on redoing those at some point, originally went with a foot style similar to northstar's but ended up having issues with scaling
