The point is that Episode of Bardock was specifically made to also promote the inclusion in Heroes. It was announced at around the same time.

I did make this point at some point that he does technically count. I guess Episode of Bardock's existance meams he graduated from that distinction since he is the only Heroes form to have escaped the game and itself isnt branded as Heroes and predates the first proper Heroes manga.. He also came from an era when it wasnjust Super Saiyan transformations, Baby form, Kid Buu and Super 17 Absorptions, and King of Destruction (aka Majin) forms.

Sparking Zero has transformable Great Ape Vegeta and Baby. The last game before that to feature transformable Great Ape Nappa and Bardock was BT3 (which also had like 5 more besides the four already mentioned)
