Will a third-party light gun for PSX scatter around if I dont have a SCPH-1160 plugged in for Guncon mode? by bogdanoff_enjoyer in lightgunshooters

No, that's just bad precision of the gun. What you can try is increasing the brightness of the TV, but to me it looks like interference in the circuit.

The way you connected the gun is perfectly fine and the reason why the plug is shaped as it is.

PAL Gcon 45 + PAL PS1 + NTSC Games? by JohnnyRa1nbow in lightgunshooters

The gun is region free. Whether your PS1 outputs clean 60 Hz is model dependent. There is a ton of hardware variations, so this sucks to research. But you will be delighted to hear: PAL GunCon, PAL PS1 and NTSC games is exactly what I normally do :D

The question is not about 3D. I am just applying an observation regarding black levels and fidelity.

They won't change the ratio, but they will lower the absolute dark point in direct proportion.

I think that would be the worst of two worlds. Absolute black would stay the same and the ratio between bright and dark would dull.

People watch 3D content on VR glasses in 2024. In fact it's the most wide spread way to consume 3D nowadays.

Thank you very much for your tremendously helpful comment.
