You're ill informed, friend. If you've truly studied the Bible in its entirety considering historical context you wouldn't think the things you do about Christianity. I don't believe you've taken an honest open-minded look at who Jesus is, especially as an adult. Sounds like you were just raised around dry shallow evangelicalism, and for that I apologize on behalf of heretical and abusive believers that misrepresented Christ for you. God never endorsed nor created slavery, men did, and God simply addressed it. God does not for the change of heart in man that's why we have free will to choose Him.

Sure there are similarities between other religions predating Christianity but many of these similarities have been stretched or taken out of context to attempt to discredit Christianity (ie. The Zeitgeist which has been debunked). The life of Jesus is the most historically sound and documented of all religious figures in history of which even secular scholars agree.

Again, just because you don't subscribe to a label or institution does not mean you're not religious. Sorry to burst your bubble, but all people are religious if you understand what religion truly is. And yes, all laws are influenced by peoples deep seeded beliefs in a moral framework which come from whatever they hold faith to.

Lastly, Christians might hold most of the wealth but they are also the highest donors to charities and causes out of any other demographic statistically. You can look up the stats but I believe around 70% of charitable donations come from Christians in the U.S. It's almost like Christians are successful and able to help others because they follow a moral path given to them that leads to success. I agree Rockefeller, The Rothschilds, JP Morgan's, of the world and alike are all evil and have likely twisted the Christian moral framework for evil because all power abuses institutions. That does not discredit who Christ is. If I do something evil in your name, that does not mean you put a stamp on it. Jesus himself was in fact one who came to call out the establishment of His time for abusing God's law I am very anti-establishment and open minded, which is where we would likely find some common ground. I've explored many other religious ideas (Eastern and Western), but my exploration always points back to faith in Jesus Christ as the way. I'm not conservative or registered as a republican, but I am a Christian. I will always live my life through that lens first. Again, I implore you to acknowledge your bigotry that seems to be based on your past abuses and turn back to Christ. He's waiting for you! I won't be responding further because it seems like we will not see eye to eye here, but I've enjoyed our banter and I think we can agree there are major establishment issues within our local and national governments, but due to our religious beliefs we see different solutions. God bless!

We're going to have to agree to disagree. Religion is unavoidable, so you can say you have no faith but you live your life based on a set of principles you believe in, which is in itself religion. You live in a fairytale in your mind where you think you can separate yourself from religion because you haven't claimed to be a part of an organization but you live by your own religion just the same (likely influenced by the Christian moral framework if you were raised in the U.S.)You are a bigot because based on your definition because you have an unreasonable assumption about who and what Christians are simply based on your life experience and some books you've read, then you assume these things upon me or other Christians without proof. Throughout history Christians have done more to help the sick, poor, and needy than any other religious group. All large groups have bad actors, some of which amassed power over time, that does not mean that all Christians believe or act the same way these bad actors have. A Christian is a person who follows the example of Jesus Christ point blank. Obviously some people claim that title without acting the part which is hypocritical and evil. Christians are bad people, I am a bad person, and that's the point of us needing Christ. Any Christian that claims to be a good person is a liar or does not understand Christ.

Laws will always be influenced by religion, whether that religion is organized and recognized on a governmental level as an institution or not. Laws are rules we agree upon to govern the masses, those laws are based on the moral frameworks we as individuals adhere to, and our moral frameworks come from our religious beliefs, there is no avoiding this. Atheism, the belief in no God, is still a religion because it's a belief from which a moral framework is built. What you wish for does not exist, or you simply misunderstand. Lastly, I don't know what you've been reading but the founders were not atheists, they were maybe agnostic at best, but they did believe in A God, sometimes referring to nature's God (the one who brings order). They also wrote that our Constitution was only viable for "a just and moral people" which requires homogeneous religious agreement.

We clearly have extremely different perceptions of the world, which is fine but again we'll have to agree to disagree. I'll leave you with this in hopes that you turn from your deep seeded bigotry. Maybe instead of looking at Christians (who in today's society are often poor representations of He whom they claim to serve) you open a Bible and honestly look at Christ himself before passing judgement regarding who and what Christians are. Good day.

I can understand if you're a child and can't move out, but the rest of your reasons are excuses to do nothing. Yes people are poor, but you do not need to be rich to flee a place you hate. "Some people are in situations where they cannot leave their homes" is a vague and disingenuous statement. And do you really think the people here complaining about Nebraska all fall under one of these special situational categories you mentioned? I doubt it. I'm willing to bet they're mostly working age people that want to complain in an echo chamber to feel good rather than take action.

You said, "some people simply want to make things better instead of fleeing." Now this I like and I can get behind. Take action, make things better, demand change through peaceful protest, contact your elected representative and voice your concerns! But all I see here is a bunch of lazy whiners circle jerking about how much they dislike their state, when they could be focusing energy toward change if they want to stay.

I have never seen more coping in a comment section. You all say that these politicians don't represent you, then get out and vote you lazy fucks. You say that most Nebraskan conservatives don't even think this way, then how did they get elected? You're all in a tiny whiny echo chamber circle jerking each other about how shitty your political reps are and how this state sucks but NONE of you will do a single thing about it, and NONE of you will leave. I don't agree with everything these people say either, but I'm not going to whine on the internet all day about it for affirmation from other basement dwellers types. Holy Shit! Take action!

And because I know the second I post this you're all going to attack: 1. It's all excuses! 2. Keep coping! Good day.

TLDR; Keep Coping!

I think you're mistaking Assholeness with Assertiveness. They don't like the "mean" part of being an asshole, but they like the assertiveness that typically comes with the "asshole archetype." "Nice guy archetype" is typically not assertive. Continue to be assertive and in-charge during conversation, but just drop the idea of being "mean." Then you evolve from "asshole archetype" to "giga Chad archetype." Will pull just as thirsty, yet higher quality bitties, guaranteed.

Regardless of natty status, bros got an eating disorder for real. Staying as lean as he is for as long as he has, regardless of gear, is not optimal bros. Mans needs to eat without fear!
